Where did this realistic weapons ban thing come from? I can't think of a single MCU movie where a gun wasn't either seen or explicitly used. Howard the Duck? I know he has the laser thingy. I'm literally just posting because I wanted to remind people of the greatness that is Howard the Duck (YEAAAAHHHHHH). There's probably a bunch of guns somewhere in the movie I just can't remember. Watch Howard the Duck now! RIGHT NOW

I feel like in light of how much the DCEU got criticized for being too dark in addition to how well received Fox's latest movies were, people have taken to over-exaggerating how "sanitized" the MCU movies are.

Reference Nazis apparently. They did a bunch of times. It was outright stated that Hydra was an offshoot of the Nazis. And when Ward from Agents Of Shield was revealed to be a Hydra agent, Daisy/Skye/Quake/whatever her name is this year kept calling him a Nazi.

And in the Agents of Hydra arc on Agents of Shield Nazis were mentioned often as Hydra spread misinformation about how they were not Nazis.

Red Skull disintegrates three literal Nazis on-screen in First Avenger, and the first thing Erskine asks Steve Rogers is if he wants to kill Nazis.

That entire Hydra arc was basically one big "f*** you" to Secret Empire (even if it was unintentional) and I loved every minute of it. That said, I don't think you'll see a movie version of Secret Empire anytime soon.

Didn't Tony and Rhodey outright shoot people when they were sneaking onto that boat at the end of Iron Man 3?

Didn't Tony and Rhodey outright shoot people when they were sneaking onto that boat at the end of Iron Man 3? Yup. Plus the very first act in the entire MCU had Tony Stark involved in a firefight and held at gunpoint by terrorists.

Side note, will the actual comics division please stop cutting off their own nose to spite their face? People would probably like the Inhumans better if Marvel wasn't Roman Reigns-ing them at the expense of the X-Men just because they don't have the movie rights.

Be visibly and unambiguously queer?
I mean, after a decade we've got the implication of Valkyrie's bisexuality, with a more concrete scene in Ragnarok being cut during production. And this is reportedly mainly because Tessa Thompson repeatedly pressed for it. We know that Marvel's contracts include that characters like Spider-Man are specifically barred from being presented as anything other than straight (Specified in the same section as him not being presented as a drug dealer or paedophile, which is just... Y'know. Great stuff. Thanks Stan.)

The Inhumans at best have like 1 book at any time the Mutants are in like 20.

Thankfully it only took them 10 yrs and 20 movies to end that with BP & CM.

For some reason they refuse to use Squirrel Girl on the big screen Uh, why would you want to? "She has her powers, yay! No interesting way of how she got them or anything she just has them! Yay! She fights some thugs, she wins, yay! She fights a serious thread like the Scorpion and beats him with pathetic ease even though he's almost killed good characters like Spider-man on several occasions! Yay! She fights an omega team level threat like Apocalypse or Dr. Doom and beats them with absolute pathetic ease cause 'funny!' Yay!" She a one joke humor character, who was never that funny to begin with and did NOT deserve to get rescued from obscurity by the brain trust at Marvel. I honestly don't see how she'd last in a movie or television series. Deadpool is a joke character too, but at least he normally gets his ass kicked. Squirrel Girl is "perfect" "unbeatable" and boring as hell. I really wish "Car Man" would run her over and kill her off already.

Besides Deadpool, I doubt we will ever see any other Marvel superhero being pegged.
