By the looks of it, they've removed most of the charm of "Jurassic World" and instead replaced it with generic action movie vibes. Take that trailer and replace Chris Pratt with Tom Cruise and I'd wonder when they started putting dinosaurs in the "Mission Impossible" franchise. That's cruel to Mission Impossible, a franchise whose last 3 movies are well above anything the Jurassic Park franchise besides the original (and also this looks like shit)

Am I the only one who is ok with just wanting to see dinosaurs eat people?
It's a two hour movie, I don't need deep backstories. I damn sure don't need another whiny kid with an absentee dad or divorced parents. I know Spielberg has a hard on for that shit.
Dinosaurs eating people, that's what we want.

The T-rex having it's original roar back is enough to make me see it.

Was anyone else yelling "LIFE WILL FIND A WAY" as Goldblum was talking at the end of the trailer?
Thank God he said it I'm probably gonna go see this now. ;p
(Just realized JW is the only Jurassic movie I never saw in theatres. Yikes.)

Yeah, the humans are basically just food for the dinosaurs for me. I'm hoping for a herbivore kill this time around. Someone speared by a stegosaurus or rammed by a triceratops.

Something feels odd about the trailer. I want to say it feels like every shot was taken from the same Act of the movie.
Almost like if you saw an Empire Strikes Back trailer and it was all shots from Hoth.

You're going to have to offer me a better hook than "we have to save the dinosaurs from a volcano"
The f*** we do!

I thought we were getting weaponized dinosaurs in this one. Where are the velociraptor/human hybrid super-soldiers?

Ian Malcolm would be 100% against any attempt to keep these dinosaurs alive.
The whole point of Jurassic Park was that bringing dinosaurs back and trying to contain or control them was a mistake.

I could totally see him acting all kind and caring "We need to save ALL the dinosaurs on that island! Here put the survivors on my cargo ship, kinda like Noah's arc." just to make sure they all get into the same small place... and BOOM, he nukes his ship just to make sure they are all dead. The camera zooms in on him pushing the Nuke button, "Whew, now we can finally return to Men Inheriting the Earth." In the background you see Laura Dern looking sad.

Well, Colin Trevorror said that the scenes in the trailer came from the first 50 or so minutes of the film so it probably makes sense?

But that was his point: You couldn't control them. It wasn't the dinosaurs/"creatures" that angered Malcolm, it was Hammond having the hubris to bring them to life. Malcolm wouldn't be like "Let the dinosaurs f***ing die!" Or "help the dinosaurs live!" He'd pretty much accept they're going to perservere with or without the aid of humans.

I never said he was angry with the dinosaurs or had any real strong feelings towards them one way or another. But I'd think he'd be VERY unlikely to be in favor of putting any human lives in jeopardy by dealing with dinosaurs ever again. If anything Malcolm's biggest problem is with the people who created them and even he has to know that any attempt to save them will be mostly about the further monetization or commercialization of their very existence.

Yeah, precisely. I think he wouldn't take sides on the matter just be like "you're f***ed either way". Guess we'll see in his cameo once the movie is out.

Something feels odd about the trailer. I want to say it feels like every shot was taken from the same Act of the movie. Almost like if you saw an Empire Strikes Back trailer and it was all shots from Hoth. I hope that’s because the first 95 minutes are all intense, courtroom drama about access to the island and the morality of saving genetically engineered animals.

The Goldblum thing felt like me like he was advocating abandoning them: "if we're not careful, they'll be here after us."
This trailer looks kinda poopy. Here's hopin it is good.
