Some new footage and teases have been coming out bit by bit this past week. The official trailer comes out Friday. Looks like run of the mill adventure, but I'll give them credit for what looks like a lot more animetronic puppetry.

I ended up being disappointed with Jurassic World, but I would be ecstatic if this wins me over. If not, hope it will please people who liked World, at least.

I'm more excited for the new Operation Genesis style game than I am the movie tbh.

Wasn't this the same plot as Jurassic Park 3?

I thought World was mostly a turd, so I can't say I'm too excited for this.

I really wanted to like Jurassic World but it didn't connect with me at all. it was like Cameron's Avatar for dinosaurs.
Pratt/Howard had anti-chemistry and overall it was just...really flat and generic. Also I'm tired of Chris Pratt being type cast. Dude has got to eat, but playing roguishly handsome/funny guy #126 holds no appeal to me anymore.
I did like the b-movie aspect of Jurassic World with them cross breeding dinos but the execution was without.
I also don't really need them to "Harrison Ford" Goldblum into this franchise either.

Also, and its a small thing really, but I'm pretty sure Howard was in high heels the entire movie which....I mean, that just tells me everything I need to know about how seriously they're taking it. First JP - everyone felt like actual people who would be involved in this world. Everyone in Jurassic World felt like stock characters from other movies dropped on the island.

You know what bothered me about Jurassic World? There's one scene where military guy suggest they breed the more loyal raptors in order to get obedient soldier raptors and one guy just laughs at him like it can't be done. And then proceeds to not give an explanation why. I mean, breeding certain traits and bloodlines is how we have the domesticated dog. I honestly don't see whats so far fetched about using the super duper high tech cloning technology to breed obedient soldier raptors.

The worrying thing is Trevorrow wrote the script for this as well....but I trust/like the new director. I'm glad he'll be focusing on horror within it, I like that Goldblums in it...and Im interested in seeing what the jist of the film is (military? Government taking over? Volcano's gonna finally kill all the Dino's?) especially considering the disaster that occurred in the theme park in the last film. And on a small note, in the teaser to the trailer I'm really digging what the score sounds like.

if they can get close to the brilliant fight at the end of the first one .....
but i still think they need to expand it further ..... like the ENTIRE CONTINENT OF SOUTH AMERICA!!!
and get liam neeson for the bad guy

Looks pretty cool. Seems they're showing a lot of the big action parts in the trailer but I'm looking forward to more of the intimate moments. I love the idea of "Should humans save these creatures or let them die?" And of course, loved seeing (and hearing) Ian Malcolm's thoughts on the whole thing.
And DAMN, the T-Rex looks the best it has since probably the first JP.

By the looks of it, they've removed most of the charm of "Jurassic World" and instead replaced it with generic action movie vibes.
Take that trailer and replace Chris Pratt with Tom Cruise and I'd wonder when they started putting dinosaurs in the "Mission Impossible" franchise.

I actually think it's gonna be a slower, more suspenseful flick but the studio probably wants its trailer to show "action! Action! Action!" Because that's what they think sells. I love the altered theme music too..gives it an eerie, tragic vibe.

I liked Jurassic World, though I haven't seen it since seeing it in theaters (I may have to give it a re-watch). I know I will give this a go when it comes out.

Trailer makes it seem really depressing. Like they gonna kill everyone's favorite hero, the T-Rex!
