Apparently from what they were talking about, people who cared about facts, figures and stock prices.
Because those were the only people that feud was aimed at.

Not the WWE Universe, that's for sure. Anytime Reigns is booed out of the building from a 'vocal minority', much like Cena before him, it was "we must be in Bizarro land Maggle!" or "the WWE Universe exercising their freedom of expression!".

The moment Reigns started talking about attendance is when the feud went from 2 guys who wanna be the best to a "Vinny Mac Program." You see, a Vinny Mac Program is a feud that sounds good on paper but in actuality Vince inserts so many of the things he likes that it changes into something that's mostly for him rather than the fans. Reigns and Cena don't give a damn about buyrates, they don't give a damn about attendance, that's Vince lingo. Maybe it would be different if they took that out of it, maybe the match coulda been different too but either way it sounded way better on paper than what we received.

You know a feud is terrible when during the first exchange of words, one guy is absolutely correct in everything he said and the other guy can only respond with "Yeah, well, shut up!".
Also, can WWE please f*** off with these "THIS BUSINESS" feuds? I don't give a shit how many tickets are sold, the quarterly earnings outlook, or who sells more shitty merchandise. It worked with Mr. McMahon because he was supposed to be an evil businessman, but you have no idea how fake it looks to have two guys go out there and argue over who's a bigger attraction for house shows. Especially when out of the 5 house shows I've been to, it's never been correct with the list of talent anyway.

More feuds like HBK vs. Jericho in 2008 and less like Cena vs. Reigns, please.

i'd say barely cena since at least he was better able to roll with the punches from the fans and said the stuff to roman that a lot of the roman haters had been saying. of course since it was cena saying it and a lot of the same things had been said about him (and I was actually happy when roman finally brought out the footage from cena's feud with the rock as cena had begun to do exactly what he condemned the rock for at that point) he was in troll mode and not exactly a face either.
but don't worry if the rumor is true about cena/roman 2 on the xmas raw reigns will have his chance to earn cena's respect by beating him in a match (as we know the first win never counts in cenaland) or is beaten by cena so he can be a grand slam champ too, and the fans will have another chance to show which one might be the face.

I wish all classic feuds would've been like that. "Macho Man, you were always jealous of the Hulkster, brother! My merchandise always outsold yours dude! You couldn't stand the fact that I had the highest rated wrestling telecast on NBC brother!!" "You might've sold more merchandise, but the profit and loss sheets showed that while you sold more, the margins were higher for the Macho Man! Freak out freak out!! And the quarterly ratings showed my match with the Honky Tonk Man was EEEEEEEEEVERY bit as watched as yours with Andre!! OOOOH YEAH DIG IT!!"

Who out draws who, who sold the most merch, who did better business with the belt, who does more make a wish..... I'm not sure if the WWE knows to not try to target to those fans totally, ala Russo WCW. Although in one sense it could be used as part of a feud for jealousy, why nbc picked someone and not the other, why one person gets the breaks etc...... That'd be a good gimmick for IRS, if he brought out facts and figures proving the WWE benefited from higher tax breaks when he main evented the royal rumble against Razor Ramon. He could tell the crowds to shut up when they chanted boring. Hey he could even have government 'g men' trying to blend into the background ready to arrest someone for tac evasion, and segments with the Repo Man just write themselves. Wait, what are we talking about? Roman Reigns and Cena?
