Not counting wrestlers or people affiliated with wrestling getting money from elsewhere. So The Rock getting paid buckets of money (Trademark Josh Matthews) for his movies doesn’t count.
Vince McMahon has to top the list. The guy has made in excess of a billion from wrestling (though not in liquid assets). His outside endeavors haven’t contributed to his wealth at all and usually take away from it.
But who else would be on the list (Trademark Chris Jericho)?

Hulk Hogan certainly had a pretty good pile of money at one point.

Macho Man probably had a substantial estate on account of how notoriously cheap that he was.
If Flair had saved his money and didn’t have alimony etc. he’d probably be above just about any actual wrestler(especially if adjusted for inflation)

Ole Anderson made a good amount wrestling and booking at the same time. Yeah that old cranky bastard made a shit ton of money I think he also owned part of Georgia when it was really hot. I think Cornette is rich but I don't know if it's because of wrestling or because of his inheritance.

Hulk Hogan certainly had a pretty good pile of money at one point. Yes and no. Linda kept 95% of his wrestling related fortune after the divorce. His current fortune is because Terry Bolea's penis is smaller than Hulk Hogan's brother!

Goldberg. Some old Whatculture articles quote a net worth of 12 million dollars in 2014/15, bulk of which was made in WCW where he raked in a cool 5 million a year between 1998 and the end of his contract.

Mick Foley has got to be up there, right? Notoriously thrifty and will have earned well at various points in his career as well as doing well off of the back of writing about his career.

Austin, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels also don’t seem to be hurting for cash.

I bet that Paul Heyman is up there, he’s another cheap dude and is probably fleecing Brock every chance that he gets Although the wrestlers are fun to talk about I’m even more curious about guys like Heyman and other non-wrestlers. Like dudes behind the scenes that a lot of people never heard of. Not the best example but guys like Dick Ebersol. He’s most known and made most of his money as a TV Exec, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d be rich just based off of what he made just by doing WWE stuff. Also, some old school promoters probably earned a lot of cash when you adjust it for inflation. Like Verne Gagne. He mentioned in the WWE documentary that he had to close the AWA when the US government enforced eminent domain to take possession of an island he owned. How many poor people own goddamn islands?

According to Celebrity Networth Johnston is worth $18 million which I wouldn’t be surprised by. Dude even had a number 2 album back when people actually bought CDs. Th same website also claims Colt Cabana is worth $3 million though which seems a little high to me. Even with the popularity of his podcast and merchandise.

That website also claims Davey Havok of AFI is worth 10 mil (maybe if he owns the name solo and all merch rights), and had AJ Styles as being worth 2 mil prior to being in WWE. Not sure where they pull their data from but I doubt all of it.

If we're just talking for wrestling, it's probably Hogan. Have you seen his contract from WCW? It's ludicrous, like getting money for any nWo merch whether it's a shirt personally associated with him or not, huge portions of the gate, and the other guarantees in his contract, and that's not counting whatever bonuses he may have accrued. Then you have his first and second WWE runs, his Hulkamania tour, the tons of games he's been in, TNA opening their pocketbooks back when something might've been in there, etc. It's hard to imagine anyone, even Rock, Austin, Triple H, etc, giving him a challenge for top spot.
Inoki's probably got to rank high for the long amount of time he was a star, plus his runs booking companies.
