I think it probably didn't help that he was on the floor. There's not really anywhere for his head to go, so unlike standing, where you'd presumable have more give and move from the hit, it just hit full force.

Not as bad as Austin being clocked with a metal can (?) straight on the top of his bald head after his 2/3 falls match with HHH.

It's frustrating to see how many people in this thread/online were or are making a joke out of of the situation, even now that we know there was apparently an injury involved.
I know it's the internet and we have to meme-ify everything, but the "Kalisto sucks huh huh huh" thing is so tiresome around here. I'm not a Kalisto super fan, but the dude is clearly talented in a way that most of us are not with our jobs or interests. We all botch in our every day lives. And we botch things much less demanding than twisting full spin planchas and heavily scripted promos.
I'm sure that any of us at our job or in public would not enjoy having a bottle thrown at us with enough force to fracture something. And just because it is pro wrestling and guys from the territory days will talk about how full bottles of piss were being thrown at them nightly, that doesn't make this a less serious incident in 2017.
I mean, it's not that we can't have a laugh when someone messes up. Kalisto himself took the whole "doing a good lucha thing" in good humor, but I don't think this incident should be treated as part of this "let's laugh at how Kalisto sucks" narrative. The whole thing is bordering on schadenfreude.

The whole thing is bordering on schadenfreude. In general, people seem to get their jollies from shitting on others. Youtube comments, Twitter, you name it. Everyone's trying to see who can get closest to the line between snark and cruelty. Or sometimes (when it's someone unsavory like, say, Bill Demott or Vince Russo) just to compete on who can be the just plain nastiest about it.

The MRIs must have come back good, because Kalisto worked the Main Event taping before RAW.

The MRIs must have come back good, because Kalisto worked the Main Event taping before RAW. I thought it happened again and was waiting for a gif.
