Tonight is not only the final NXT episode of 2017, it's also the last show taped from Full Sail University for quite a while, as NXT will relocate to Center Stage in Atlanta (home of many WCW broadcasts) for the first few months of 2018. And it's a big one to send the yellow ropes on their way...
*NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Ember Moon (c) vs. Sonya Deville *The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. Enhancement Talent *NXT CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERSHIP FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH: Aleister Black vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Killian Dain vs. Lars Sullivan
Andrade "Cien" Almas will finally discover his first challenger for his NXT Championship tonight, as the winner of the Fatal Four Way will face him on January 27th at Takeover: Philadelphia. Johnny Gargano looks to have his work cut out for him, as he's up against two monsters in Killian Dain and Lars Sullivan, and the determined and undefeated Aleister Black. Logic dictates that Johnny Wrestling will come out on the short end of this one, but did his qualifying win over Kassius Ohno light a fire under him? Will Sullivan cause three Freak Accidents, will Dain rebound from losing the NXT Tag Team Titles, or will Black continue to kick the heck out of people's souls?
Ember Moon makes the first defence of her NXT Women's Title tonight, and it could be her Absolutely only defence, as she's up against the muscle of RAW's Absolution, Sonya Deville. The last time the Jersey Devil was away from Paige and Mandy Rose, she put the leader of SmackDown's Riott Squad - Ruby Riott - to sleep, but this time she won't have the benefit of finishing Moon off in the ropes. The last NXT Women's Title reign lasted for 523 days, will Ember Moon's reign end at just 40 days?
Also this week, the Street Profits are in action, and we'll get all sorts of stuff to set us up for 2018. And will we see the debut of the Queen of Spades Shayna Baszler? All this and much more tonight from 8/7c on the WWE Network!

The height on that frog splash was insane! Montez Ford is gonna be over huge as a babyface when he gets to the main roster. No real rush, though, he'll only get better.

Can't wait to watch this after work. Anytime I get Montez Ford on my screen I'll take it. Dude's a star in the making. So of course Dawkins will end up on Raw in storylines and Ford forgotten on Smackdown...

Yeah tell him to eat a sandwich and pair him up with that JTG guy, I heard he's back on payroll"

Just saw the main event. It was incredible! All 4 guys had their role to play and every guy delivered. Killian Dain continues to be a legit freak. Lars Sullivan continues to give credibility to the WWE PC. Alestair Black continues to look like a superstar despite the loss. But Johnny Wrestling was the overall best guy in this match. His storytelling is unparalleled. His facial expressions told a compelling story from beginning to end. He started the match with a 'WTF am I even doing in this match?' kind of look to 'OK, you're actually in this thing, FOCUS' to 'holy crap I think I have a shot!' to 'I WON?!' It was perfect from beginning to end.

What a great Main Event, all four men look like they have incredible upside if they remain healthy. Dain especially should not be able to do half the shit he does, he is incredible, and Sullivan is gonna be the next Braun.

Man, they really got in as many JBL digs in as they could for that one jobber that kinda-sorta looked like a shrunken down version of him, didn't they?
Between that and the "Tripp Bradshaw" stuff from back when, I get the feeling he was even more disliked than previously thought.

Johnny Gargano has been crushing it the past year in nxt. I was not a huge fan when he first came in but from the D.I.Y stuff to the match with ciampa to what he has been doing recently. I see a lot of Shawn Michaels in him and I hope he doesnt get lost on the main roster or just thrown into 205. Since he has been doing so good I see him bobbing to enzo sometime in 2018 since yah know wwe

Well, it is Ranallo at the desk on NXT. Even Nigel seemed to be getting in on it. Totally laughed out loud at Nigel calling him "nWo Bradshaw"
