Dude, almost everyone in wrestling cheated on their loved ones, even most of your favorite wrestlers. Besides, that's personal business between Cena and his ex. And that makes it okay how? Unless they have an open relationship, cheating is still cheating. I don't care if it's a wrestler I'm a fan of still not cool. Also given the stories that came out at the time of the divorce, it didn't sound like a situation she was okay with. It doesn't make it ok, but it's none of our business. Plus, the stories at the time all came from dirtsheets, which isn't even 50 percent correct. Funny how most people worship CM Punk when there is much worse stories on his infidelities. That said, I won't being that up if someone ask why I do not like him. Relationship matters should be private. This is pro wrestling not f***ing TMZ.

I remember reading the Reks account. Cena basically told Rex not to use the move. Rex did anyway and got heat as a result. That's not new to WWE or even wrestling. A vet asks you to leave a move alone, you change it up. Reks was doing the burning hammer. A move that looks so crazy that it inherently makes all other WWE finishers look weaker and is dropping someone directly on their head, of course Cena is going to say 'look we have massive schedules so you should use a move that is more toned down and safer' Reks wasn't doing a full Kobashi burning hammer, he was doing a very safe version that ends in a basic front bump, a similar bump to a Dominator.

Yeah this move is no more dangerous than any other being used at the time.

I'm willing to say it's a safe bet any of his politicking etc is on a much smaller scale than previous people in his position. Yeah, like it's telling that people keep having to cycle back to the Nexus match over seven years ago because they're actually slim on any concrete thing to go by. And even with that Nexus thing, it was Edge and Jericho recounting how sometimes they can have tunnel vision when it comes to storylines and they cited that as an example. Seeing Ryback get cited is hilarious, because when you think about it, it was CM Punk and The Shield that derailed his momentum, since he lost to both consecutively when he was at his hottest. But naw man, it was totally Cena who buried him.

No one mentions that Cena only forced his hand on the Nexus thing because he thought it would be good TV and then went in the back and apologised to everyone because what he initially thought would be good was horrible on TV.

The Nexus and Mickie stuff is bad but most other examples I kind of side with Cena on.

Agreed taht Cena manned up and said he was wrong, and that is a rare thing in this industry. Just looking at the bump in question, I will always go back to Jake/Stemboat and the infamous DDT bump. That made Jake, to many fans, look like an absolute killer and given that it is a spot still mentioned decades later says quite a bit. So a bunch of guys get the call up, and get put in with the tippy top guy, and the Steamboat bump in essence is put in the match. Instead of selling the bump, the winning thought was, "If I no-sell it and kill them all, it will make them look great". Not sure on what level that was a good idea, tunnel vision or not, especially when veteran guys are saying "Dude, no, don't, bad idea". My issue is not that Cena manned up, I find it admirable since it's a rare thing. My issue is that, somehow, the idea first got pitched, then got aproved. If it wasn't straight politics, then it was someone (Vince) being a moron and reasoning that a group of "new guys" who were already getting some big press as a faction pulling out the DDT on concrete spot, then having that spot no-sold and be beaten by that same guy would do anything at all to make anyoen look decent.

I think part of the no selling came from the fact that the show was running long. The show pretty much ended as soon as the match ended which never happpens... (granted then they should have just cut the spot but still)
