If it isn't obvious, I love watching bad movies and I loved the original Bring It On when I was younger so I decided to give the sequels a shot.
Holy shit it's like the racial component of the original movie and decided that all the sequels had to have really racist dialogue and overtones. The final one in particular is just.... wow.
To quote the african american sidekick of the villain in the final film

I hate Bring It On because the white team was the “heroines” of the story but were clearly jackasses who stole the black teams routines but we were somehow suppose to root for them. Smh.

I hate Bring it on because cheerleaders are horrible people.

Keep in mind all these DTV sequels are probably written by hack writers who probably couldn't get a writing job on a Real Housewive reality show

I always thought the movie made it clear Big Red was the villian, the rest of the Toro's were just collateral damage and East Compton was justifiably pissed their routines were stolen and their reactions were always justified and Gabrielle Union's charecter was very much a babyface.

I think the better question is....why were there BRING IT ON sequels? (And yes, I get that the first movie was a hit, but did it really warrant the amount of sequels enough to make it a full on franchise?)

What cracks me up is that on Facebook, a lot of people bitch about how Death Race has prequels, and with Death Race: Beyond Anarchy coming out, they are acting like Death Race has a lot of films, when in reality, Beyond Anarchy is the fourth film of that series coming out (Death Race 2050 doesn't count as that is more of a sequel/reboot to Death Race 2000). Yet, this has almost as much as Fast & Furious does, though F&F actually has theatrical releases, unless you want to count those American Pie spin-offs.

It's the story of American pop culture, when you think about it. Maybe Bring It On had some deep social commentary, but no one scratched beneath the surface to find it. 🤔
