In fall of 2004, Kurt Angle was looking for the Dudleys to attack the Big Show. The Dudleys came to the ring and Spike called out the Big Show. He even said that Show was scared of him. Big Show comes out and Spike flees while the Dudleys get destroyed.
I was hoping that Spike was going to be on Kurts Survivor Series team against Show's. I wanted to see how they would book this encounter. I am not saying that they should have had Big Show destroy Spike for obvious reasons (those being The fans would turn Show heel and Spike face). I think they could have had a quick encounter with Show beating up Spike for a few seconds before one would tag out.
Did anyone think this would have been good for what it would have been?

If it was 5-on-5 that year, maybe but they were trying to build up Luther Reigns, Carlito and Mark Jindrak as the top heels on Smackdown. For Spike Dudley, he was a few tiers down on the Cruiserweight division and was feuding with Rey if I recall. I think it worked out just fine for what it was.

If you want to see how that could have worked, watch Survivor Series 1989 and Bobby Heenan in the main event.
On the apron directing the actual wrestlers on his team, coming in for a cheap shot against a downed opponent, running like hell as soon as they start to even barely move, getting an undeserved pinfall once his team's beaten someone up.
But after he's been accidentally knocked out, his last teammate is eliminated, he doesn't know and slowly turns around to see... The Big Show who squashes him in 30 seconds.
One of the reasons that's one of my favourite PPVs that doesn't get enough love.

Was Spike's "Boss" run the same time that Heyman was referring to Bubba and D-Von as "The Dudley" (singular)?
The past tends to all run together for me.
