If it's like ice dancing/figure skating do they have to hit certain moves to get full marks e.g. a suplex, a move off the ropes, a submission.
I've often thought this would be a good contest.

I think they'd have to set it up like the Mae Young Classic or the CWC, just have the people you expect to be in the finals showcase their talents against other 'game' opponents who already know that the true highlights of the Olympics are gonna be going over. Then the judges (I guess there would have to be judges) rate their enjoyment of each match and after tallying the scores, the wrestler who's still alive in the tournament with the most points is booked to win the whole shebang, whichever country they may hail from.
Unfortunately that means that more than half the participants of the Olympic pro-wrestling sport will never have a chance to win a gold medal if they're slated to job in the first round.

Would any of the Samoan wrestlers actually qualify for Samoa through a grandparent or something? If so they could be a dark horse. Germany could have Alex Dieter Jr and WALTER I don't think there are any citizenship standards to join any random country actually. The Sochi Winter games had Vic Wild and Viktor Ahn (American and Korean) not only joining the Russian team but also winning gold medals and posing with Putin while the Russian anthem played. There are usually quirky stories of amateur athletes competing for very small/obscure countries after raising enough money for the sake of an Olympic experience. Having the genetic background of the peoples of a certain country despite growing up elsewhere certainly helps though.
