Worst Special-Occasion Ring Gear

Motivated by those terrible pants Okada had at Wrestle Kingdom. What are some other times people've tried to spice up their look for a big show only to just end up looking stupid?

Most immediate one coming to mind for me is Mysterio's awful Joker outfit.

I still want to know if the rumour is true that Taker didn’t have his trousers with him (lost at the airport or something) and due to his size the only person who had any spare that would fit him is The Godfather. It’s probably a case of it’s not true but I really want it to be.

As for the thread itself, Rey really has had some unfortunate costume problems over the years. His mask from WM21 that he spent most of the match adjusting, his Silver Surfer body paint that rubbed off during the match, that Peacock one he had at WM22 which just looked ridiculous, the already mentioned Joker getup.

I remember being really confused when Rey came out like this for Summerslam 07. I guess it was meant to look like the silver surfer but only like half of him was painted fully and nearly all of it wore off after about 5 minutes.

I'd also like to cast a vote for how awesome Okada's pants looked. He was like Hashimoto with some f***in panache out there.

Ive been hoping he would change up his look for sometime. His chest and legs aren't thick enough to look good in shorts. The pants make him look less lanky.

The big problem with this logic is that the Godfather was not playing the Godfather gimmick at the time. He was in Right to Censor as the Goodfather, and would have been primarily wearing black slacks as his gear. That begs the question of why Godfather would loan him gear from a gimmick he isn't playing that looks ridiculous, when he could give him pants from his current gimmick that wouldn't stand out.
