Weird how two guys literally laughing at each other for a month hasn't lead to an increase in ticket sales. Yeah, I am always up for a silly Broken/Woken Matt promo, but actual matches are far from the selling point of the character and you can't really make a profit on promos. I think the bigger issue with Bray vs. Matt is that anyone actually on the fence for going to a 205 Live house show is a big enough fan to know that Bray vs. Woken Matt in a standard wrestling match isn't going to be a great match or even further the angle on TV. It's just going to be yet another wrestling match, albeit with more known stars. If that feud is going to draw anything, it will be done where they actually bring out the smoke and mirrors and perform a Final Deletion-esque attraction, and that's just not going to happen on a 205 Live house show, and everyone knows it.

I'm in no way surprised. I couldn't believe they were trying this in the first place.

I would have gone if it was Bray vs. Matt in a game of Yu-Gi-Oh! or something.

I would have gone if it was Bray vs. Matt in a game of Yu-Gi-Oh! or something. I'd pay money to see Matt and Bray ham it up in a game of Yugioh. Although I cant think of what decks they would use... Bray could use Blackwings or Raidraptors (follow the buzzards) but I dont know what Matt would play Matt: I attack with my Dark Magiiiician and DELETE your monster! Bray: You think my creature is deleted...they lying to you man...I activate my trap card!

Itami vs. Daivari has been added to the Poughkeepsie show.

Has anyone mentioned the basketball game scheduled for 11am the next day at that arena being a possible factor for WWE canceling? That’s a 12 hour overnight turnaround for WWE to pack up their stuff and for the University of Rhode Island people to get their court set up in game condition. Problem is, I don’t know what was scheduled first, the basketball game or the wrestling. (History would then dictate that they host the show at La Salle University’s arena in Philadelphia and spend it throwing shade at URI) Keep in mind as well- the basketball game was also absolutely scheduled first. This show was done on a shoestring a month ago, for one- and the Ryan Center is URI's home arena so URI sports take top priority over everything else scheduled at the arena. Even then, as was said- WWE can do a 3-4 hour turnaround to break down one- and the biggest problem is the fact that the Ryan Center cuts the arena in half for events instead of the full arena for URI basketball (but even that's basically "they throw a curtain down". According to the Ryan Center's website the show was canceled due to "scheduling and routing issues." Make of that what you will.

In case you were wondering what a 205 Live houseshow looks like.

Huh. That...looks a lot better than expected.
Not sold out but considering where it is, it could have been a TONNE worse.
Not bad for only being promoted on social media by Mustafa Ali. Seriously, WWE, promote your stuff.

Is that an arena or a theatre?

Is that an arena or a theatre? It's a small arena. For reference, it's the same building Shawn Michaels lost his smile in, and in recent times, Balor lost the NXT title to Samoa Joe in.

So the card was, in order...
Hideo Itami vs. Jack Gallagher Kalisto & Gran Metalik vs. Drew Gulak & TJP Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari Tony Nese vs. Mustafa Ali Enzo Amore vs. Cedric Alexander, special referee Nia Jax
Sounds like probably a fun show, if not exactly anything outside the norm.

In case you were wondering what a 205 Live houseshow looks like. That doesn't look too bad at all.

WHAAAAAAA?! This was something I didn’t expect to happen! Especially from a brand that has so much company backing as 205 Live! I’m SHOCKED! Seriously, how the hell did they not see this coming? They did. This is just their excuse to kill 205 Live this year. It never sold a dime.

As I said in my previous post from a few weeks ago, I was genuinely interested in going to the Poughkeepsie show just to see what NXT or possibly indy talent the WWE might bring in to fill out the card. Now I'm thankful I did not buy those tickets or make those plans.

Maybe they could have had him face Goldust. Also why are Gulak and TJP teaming up when his tag partner Neese is on the show. Switch it to TJP vs Ali.

TJP has been feuding with Metalik on 205 Live though, so having him tag against the Lucha duo does make sense, even if he isn't in the Zo Train fold. If they really wanted to feature Lince, they could have. A lot of house shows do a deal where a heel will lose a match, and then issue an open challenge to the locker room to redeem themselves, and then immediately get squashed by another babyface. They could have had Nese wrestle Lince, and then issue the challenge and get beaten by Tozawa.
