I'm fairly sure I just saw someone literally back away from Princess Kimberlee when she went around high fiving fans Probably saw they weren’t vegan. They’re like Hitler according to her. No, the fan backed away from her.

Ophidian just used one of the 17 forgotten holds to try and injure Dasher's arm Oh shit.....

They pulled a misdirect in my mind. Ophidian was the one boasting, being a cocky jerk, mouthing off before the match, using heel tactics. And then what happens? Dasher was the real rudo the whole time.

So...is Dasher still the champ? Is this a "9/10ths of the law" kinda thing or...?

I really shouldn't be taking such delight in one of Chikara's longest-serving tecnicos going rudo, but I've been casting doubts on Dasher giving the title back this whole time. Someone actually sent me a message on Tumblr figuratively crapping on me over it. I hope they're eating so much crow tonight.
This is hopefully going to become something very fun. It sadly hasn't been too often lately that Chikara's went with something that makes perfect sense to do, but this is one of those times.

So...is Dasher still the champ? Is this a "9/10ths of the law" kinda thing or...? Bryce proclaimed Touchdown the champion. After that he said he was going to give him the title back and Dasher said "He never lost it." Touchdown grabbed one end and Dasher took the other end. That's when the turn happened. I think Touchdown is the Grand Champion but Dasher is going to physically have the belt. I think he could argue with Bryce that since he won his last 4 singles matches that he should be owed a title match on a technicality.

Kudos to Chikara for completely flipping the script. I was sure this was gonna lead to a Touchdown heel turn, but having Dasher become attached to the title, especially since he didn't actually win it? Good move.
One of the things I love most about Chikara's storytelling is that there's rarely a Russo-esqe swerve for the sake of a swerve. You can usually see the lines between point A and point B, and those lines usually make sense.

Well, don't I look like a right solid fool, from what I said in this forum like two hours ago!
I think Dasher's going to be a great rudo, and it's a well-built feud. I'm still very disappointed with Chikara's ability to create good heels, but the storyline with the Throwbacks across the season has been really good.

Travis begs off and loudly apologizes to Solo. He gets up and asks for a handshake. They shake hands and do their secret handshake. Travis rolls Solo up and pulls the tights for a 2 count. Solo slaps on the Golden Dream and Travis taps to his own finishing hold. Wow, not even Theon was emasculated that badly.

Well, this confirms it.
There is a curse on the Grand Championship.
It drives those who wield it to madness, or of the sort.
Eddie Kingston Icarus And now, Dasher Hatfield.

Plus, whatever The Whisper is holding over Kimber Lee's head. I think the only ones that really weren't affected by it were UltraManits Black, Hallowicked, and JFDC. Hallowicked has already been brainwashed by the Eye of Tyr, so he probably welcomed the extra evil that the title had. Juan was a massive prick, so once again, probably wasn't affected too much by it. And UMB is Great and Devious, so he probably felt the evil inside the Grand Championship, but was able to either prevent it from taking over him, or used its energy in a positive light.

On the one hand, Dasher is the type of strong rudo CHIKARA needs.
On the other hand, boy does that finish with Kim and Whisper make the Closers look like chumps.
One step forward, one step back.

Maybe. He was just technically replacing Toucdown in those defenses and Touchdown would not have received points. So it won't shock me if Dasher still has to get 3 points.

The Trashbag Monsters continue to be the lamest "monsters" ever.
Yep. They lost their minifeud with the Colony and now the year long feud with Calhoun and friends.
Also odd how Leary didn't get to be in the big blowoff. He got pushed aside for Axel Ford.

He either got hurt or it's that CHIKARA thing of they just stop being booked I dont know. As for Proteus Wheel, they kinda felt like they should have been dumb goon monsters since they're failed experiments, but still, they're basically threats to no one now, like most rudos have been since The Flood was stopped.
