Idk, I thought it would have been cool for him to be one of the guys not in any faction in winter the lone kiwi dies, but the faction survives

So he debuts as a heel and then joins the face group. Hmmm Idk, I thought it would have been cool for him to be one of the guys not in any faction Given the fact that he outright stated he was using the group to further his own goals, and made sneaky references at a future Okada challenge, this is a relationship of need not want. Loved Okada refusing the hug after seeing what happened to Omega.

Jay White clearly has a look of "I'm going to kill this guy one day".
I guess CHAOS is just the default group to join as a full time member, hell ZSJ was announced as a member of CHAOS right before he joined Suzuki Gun. It would be of been more interesting for him to strike out on his own but this should at least give him a little bit of room to gain experience. Probably also necessary since every NJPW show besides the big ones are a bunch of multitag matches.

Right, this is def out of need and plays a bigger game in Jay White going after Okada sooner than later I just liked the idea of Jay being a loner in that setting when you consider everyone is apart of a group

Yeah, that photo alone doesn't scream harmony does it? Should be interesting seeing where it goes. I think it's only a matter of time before he gains his own faction of misfits but until then I think it's cool him being the unpredictable loose cannon that not even his fellow faction members trust.

If Jay White turns and is the guy that dethrones Okada he will be my favourite wrestler that week.
In all reality he’ll likely turn and then get jobbed out to Okada.

I just noticed how much his theme sounds like it's out of a recent Tekken game.

I like his work, his gimmick not so much.
The njpw factions are convoluted as f*** though.

Yeah, Okada not accepting the hug was brilliant. Can't see any way this relationship lasts too long.

Yeah, I thought it was weird only YOSHI-HASHI showed up for that but I guess in kayfabe, some had big matches after or just had big matches and for the show, it'd be un-NJPW like to have a big smozz during a title match which, as it turned out, didn't really lead to the finish.

Interesting decision.
I would rather have seen Jay White solidify himself more, and maybe be a coveted "free agent" that other groups like Suzuki-Gun or Bullet Club would try and win over.
I get why they did it, but it's an odd choice for sure, given the Switchblade character.

What even is CHAOS' alignment and uniting/underlying thematic principle currently?

I'm pretty new to NJPW and was very excited for Wrestle Kingdom last week. This guy was easily the lowlight of the night for me. How did he get in such a high profile match with Tanahashi? The guy has one of the worst looks in modern wrestling.

The guy has one of the worst looks in modern wrestling. He's a guy they have high hopes for, but he was debuting a new look and new persona that it doesn't look like he's 100% comfortable with yet. He's young, he's got time to grow into it.

Hopefully he'll grow into it like Watanabe did with Evil.
