Ferrari are the ones having problems with pit stops this time.
Going back and looking at it again, that right rear mechanic definitely has a broken leg. Legs aren't supposed to bend like that.

Vettel holds off Bottas to win, Hamilton in third.
A great 4th place for Gasly.

So, after 2019, NASCAR is dumping Monster Energy as a sponsor & will have a generic title for their season.
Like... Why?

J.R. Hildebrand announced to drive the #66 for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing in the Indy 500. That makes him the 34th confirmed entrant, so bumping will happen for the first time since 2015.

Actually I think he is correct if I am understanding this right: www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nascar-auto-racing/thatsracin/article208443599.htmlInstead of a two year extension like was expected, they just did a one year. That lets NASCAR back out to restructure after that.

James Davison confirmed to drive the 3rd Foyt car at Indy. As the 35th entrant, this makes this the largest field to attempt Indy since 2011.

Glad to see some good drivers getting one offs for the 500. Davison drove a hell of a race last year before crashing, and Hildebrand has damn near won the thing. Glad for both entries. Think there's one or two other rumored entries as well, but not sure how solid those are.
So far (lumped a lot of the team partnerships together):
Chevrolet (16 entries)
Carlin - #23 Charlie Kimball, #59 Max Chilton
Carpenter - #13 Danica Patrick, #20 Ed Carpenter, #21 Spencer Pigot
Dreyer & Reinbold - #24 Sage Karam, #66 JR Hildebrand
Foyt - #4 Matheus Leist, #14 Tony Kanaan, #33 James Davison
Harding - #88 Gabby Chaves
Juncos - #32 Kyle Kaiser
Penske - #1 Josef Newgarden, #3 Helio Castroneves, #12 Will Power, #22 Simon Pagenaud
Honda (19 entries)
Andretti - #25 Stefan Wilson, #26 Zach Veach, #27 Alexander Rossi, #28 Ryan Hunter-Reay, #29 Carlos Muñoz, #98 Marco Andretti
Coyne - #17 Conor Daly, #18 Sebastien Bourdais, #19 Pietro Fittipaldi, #63 Pippa Mann
Ganassi - #9 Scott Dixon, #10 Ed Jones
Rahal - #15 Graham Rahal, #30 Takuma Sato, #64 Oriol Servia
Schmidt - #5 James Hinchcliffe, #6 Robert Wickens, #7 Jay Howard
Shank - #60 Jack Harvey
Six Indianapolis 500 winners: Sato (2017), Rossi (2016), Hunter-Reay (2014), Kanaan (2013), Castroneves (2001, 2002, 2009), Dixon (2008)
Seven IRL/CART/Champ Car/IndyCar series champions: Newgarden (2017), Pagenaud (2016), Dixon (2003I, 2008, 2013, 2015), Power (2014), Hunter-Reay (2012), Bourdais (2004C, 2005C, 2006C, 2007C), Kanaan (2004I)
Eighteen winners of any top-level American open-wheel race: Andretti, Bourdais, Carpenter, Castroneves, Dixon, Hinchcliffe, Hunter-Reay, Kanaan, Kimball, Muñoz, Newgarden, Pagenaud, Patrick, Power, Rahal, Rossi, Sato, Servia
Really excited for May to get here, but also super pumped for Long Beach this weekend. This is the beginning of my favorite time of the year.

We're almost ready to go racing in China.
The question is which team will lose both of their drivers within seconds of each other this time?

I was joking about a team losing both drivers but the Toro Rosso cars have just collided.
And that brings out the safety car to clear up the debris.

Just a heads up for US F1 fans, Univision, an over the air Spainish station shows F1 races live. That's good for cord cutters or a back up during ESPN's random commercials during pit stops...
The only drawback is that commentary is in Spainish.

Despite blowing an engine in practice, a smart tyre strategy and a bit of help from the Safety Car has led to Ricciardo taking out the win.

OK, fell asleep at race start, checked the highlights instead.
Damn, Ric did so well, and he got all 3 divebombs on what I'd consider my least favourite overtaking opportunity in the current schedule
Also I get the impression Vettel went home yelling about how much of a bad day he had.

Rossi putting on a Master Class, making Will Power burn up his push-to-pass when he had TWICE as much when the battle started.
