What I mean is the guys were on the WWE roster at the same time and everything had some kind of interaction or storyline involvement, maybe even a match, but didn’t have the AWESOME match and you knew they were capable of.
What made me think of this is the match I always wanted Bray Wyatt//Brock Lesnar to have. When they finally had one it ended up being a handy cap match where Brock just murdered Luke Harper.
What I would have liked to have seen is a No DQ match where Brock and Bray start off, but the Wyatt Family interferes one by one. Brock takes some punishment, but even after some weapons are used Brock eventually F5’s Bray and puts him away. True it has it’s short comings and may not have been a classic or anything, but it’s how WWE was booking at the time anyway (Brock as a monster, Bray like crap). It would’ve at least been a fun popcorn match.

Sheamus and Tensai had a killer enhancement match a couple times, and it impressed so much you wanted them to have the guts of 20 and something at stake.

WWE really gave up on Sylvester Terkay too early. I found out that he and Angle once wrestled in the finals of the NCAA Championship, with Angle winning 3-2. I was hoping for a storyline with Terkay still angry about the loss, and targeting Angle. Unfortunately, Kurt left just about the time they brought Terkay in.
He also would have been a good opponent for Lashley, given their amateur and MMA backgrounds, and both were on ECW at the same time.

I can't believe we didn't get a Zeus vs Hercules match; or even later on, a Jesus vs God fight.

Vader v Bret Hart. We got some 5-10 minute RAW matches, but those 2 in a PPV singles match would been good.
There's also Owen/Razor. Rock and Owen had good chemistry when Rock had 6 months of TV experience, but they never went back to that well. Lots of these.

Sheamus and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. And it should have happened three times.

I've been thinking about women's matches and how great MITB or RR matches could have been back in the day. How great would Lita vs Trish vs Mickie vs Molly...(add two more) fighting for the Brief Case? Or Wendy Richter vs Moohla vs Alundra Blaze vs Jumping Bomb 1 & two. How far could Victoria have gone in a rumble? or Jazz, or Jaqueline...lots of missed opportunities.

'Mr Ass' Billy Gunn vs 'The Booty Man' Ed Leslie no brainer, it's like Vince hates making money.

Sting vs The Undertaker
That's the one that pains me the most
Austin vs Hogan
During the JR podcast with Austin, this was supposed to be the main event of wm 18, but Austin refused. Apparently Hogan even accepted doing the job, but again Austin refused.

Apparently Hogan even accepted doing the job, but again Austin refused. that's weird. Why would Austin turn down a big money match to have a forgettable mid card nothing match with Hall? Austin also tried to reject working with Hall lol. Steve claims that he rejected a program with Hogan because apparently his working ability wasn't up to par with Steve. Austin said that his goal was tearing the house down in every main event with opponents who could go like Rock, Jericho, Angle, and Triple H. He implied that he would've to lower his work just so Hogan would be able to hang on. Steve also rejected it because there wouldn't be enough time to set up a program with Hogan on wrestlemania. I think Steve wanted to postpone the match but unfortunately his injuries started to catch up to him. A short time later he walked out on raw and when he returned he told Vince that he couldn't go anymore and that he should retire.
