And the bad news is he won't be here next week. *nods sadly*

I'd love it if Shane and D-Bry somehow both lost their authority figure jobs and Barrett became the new (neutral) SDL general manager.

I liked him but I don't feel like he left a big unfillable void in his departure like a few former releases.

There weren’t many times in Barrett’s career where people were like “UGH, F*** THIS GUY”. Maybe The Corre, the early part of the King gimmick before he linked with Sheamus and Rusev and The League Of Nations (but that was largely down to them adding Del Rio). Other than that, he ended up being a solid hand and was always a good promo guy.
And I respect the fact that he decided to walk away and do his own thing when he realised he wasn’t going much further up again in WWE, instead of complaining about his spot but staying around anyway.

You want to see Wade Barret on television again? Well I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news!

As much as I really did like him, they left him adrift long enough that he wasn't serving much of a purpose.

I liked him. He left a big unfillable void in his departure unlike a few former releases.

I never liked him much until the Bad News gimmick and then I loved the guy.

Never got the guy honestly. Never saw the appeal. I can honestly say that he didn’t have one really good singles match the whole time he was in WWE.
