I feel like this has become the dominant, almost only topic of discussion in regards to the upcoming women’s Rumble, so let’s take stock the only way I know how... with statistics!
Forget about playing to the room for a minute, let’s find out what you genuinely think. Speaking for myself... My first hunch is neither in the match at all, but then you have to try and factor in the stuff happening around it. Asuka, for example, has seemingly adopted the cross armbar as her finishing hold of choice recently, which almost seems specifically made to draw comparisons to Rousey’s peak UFC run. Plus, there have been reports for months of Rousey training at the Performance Center, but all it could mean is that there’s been a dialogue, not that there’s been a deal done yet. Another issue for her is her movie career... Apparently she’s still filming a movie in Colombia this month, so unless that finishes before the Rumble happens, or she does literally nothing physical in the match, insurance red tape could be an issue, especially after what happened with The Rock coming out of his WM29 match.
Now for Stephanie. Scheduling is a non-issue, as she’s there more than anyone except Vince and probably Triple H. She keeps physically fit, so that’s not a concern. The one big issue for her, as it usually seems to be, is the ego complex. She’s been front-and-centre of the hype for the match, both in announcing it and the commercials for it. Not to mention her TV presence for the last few years. That said... She’s passed over being involved in women’s firsts matches before (Hell In A Cell and Money In The Bank are out) and WrestleMania matchups in front of bigger crowds than what will be expected in New Orleans, so I think it’s a much more even scenario than we’re giving credit for.
I guess the uncertainty is what’s fuelling all the speculation.

No way Ronda shows up here. Aside from the movie reason you listed, even if WWE and her have come to terms and this does happen, she's not going out before training happens and defintely not debuting in the f***ing Royal Rumble. It worked with AJ Styles because they used having him hang in that match forever as a way to debut him in a big way and because he's not really anyone to non-wrestling fans. They will want to spend like a month hyping Ronda's debut and making sure they were smothered in mainstream attention and that everyone knows it.

I would prefer not. I can see them having Rousey come in late & single-handedly eliminate a dozen women to win, though.

If Steph is in, she wins. Even if she somehow gets eliminated, she still wins via Raw the next night.

If Ronda is in it, the only way she's going out is if Steph takes her out. Then we will have the first Wrestlemania Women's Main Event, starring the person that started the women's revolution all by herself and Ronda. You thought they rode HISTORIC HISTORY OF HISTORY into the ground, we haven't seen shit yet.
And you all know it's going to happen. Have fun with it.
I hate myself for even thinking that up, but it's totally got a real chance of happening.

Either being in it isn't the issue, both being in it and one of them winning goes against the entire Announcement Speech. "YOU ALL DID GREAT WORK, WOMENS WRESTLING MATTERS, YOU MATTER!", jk the Boss or basically a celebrity on her first day beats all of you for your hard work...

Of the two, I believe Ronda will be in and Stephanie won't. Being that this is the first woman's Rumble, I think they play it pretty safe and go with an established talent winning to give it credibility. Ronda will be in and won't win but will have a good showing. My guess is she'll be one of the last few entrants and maybe one of the last three in. Stephanie won't be in it and even if she was absolutely is not winning it. I get that WWE doesn't have a lot of goodwill with the fans, and with good reasons, but this is an absolutely insane idea that has no chance of happening. I know people freaked out over her showing up to make the announcement, but she played it pretty neutral and hasn't had any storyline interaction with it since so I really doubt it.
