With two Royal Rumbles, the WWE doesn't have to care about giving a long Rumble match to the fans anymore.
Which means, they can finally have all 29 guys eliminated before number 30 comes out and wins the match by default.

You say that like the match doesn’t already go 40-something minutes before that point.

I've always thought that'd just be a dumb anticlimax.
I just want one of the Rumbles to have someone entering at either 4 or post-5 to be the first eliminated for once.

That would only ever work if 30 is a MAJOR surprise entrant who the fans would want to win. I'm talking Daniel Bryan or CM Punk return, Kenny Omega debut levels of "holy shit", just walking back to the ring to a massive pop to be all "I'm in the main event boiz". It won't be any of them, so it won't happen.

I'm hoping that THIS is the year that someone random actually wins it.

If a dude debuted by winning a Rumble without lifting a finger and getting a Wrestlemania main event... I'm not sure you wouldn't end up being hated backstage and online. And I don't care if it were the biggest indy wonderkid in history getting the superpush. It would make the "hated" Roman/Cena superpushes look like child's play. I mean, that's something you expect from TNA. I'm hoping that THIS is the year that someone random actually wins it. Yeah I'm in the boat with this guy. Give me somebody that's never won a world title nor a rumble. A true surprise. It's not like there aren't plenty of options that don't suck. I'm not asking for a Hawkins/Victor victory. Just not another orton/sheamus/roman/cena. Even thou Dean or Seth would be nice, I want a real surprise. Kofi, Cesaro, Joe, Rusev. That kinda thing! I really honestly believe the list of guys that could win and not look "legit" is very small. A couple tag team specialists and guys like Hawkins. Most everybody else can be salvaged in a month of booking.

Honestly it's something I'd expect Nash to do at his most self indulgent as a booker.

The time to do that was 2012 when Jericho was doing the trolling thing. That would have been amazing.

I get the idea to want to see different things, but there are some 'never done before' ideas that get thrown around a lot that aren't done for a reason: they'd f***ing suck.

You say that like the match doesn’t already go 40-something minutes before that point. If they actually had a new person enter every 1.5 minutes, #30 would be entering at the 42:00 mark. They should just announce 2-minute intervals because that would be more realistic based on how long Rumbles usually are.

Tbh, I'd give Nakamura the Benoit 2004 treatment. Start it, eliminating all the monsters by ring smarts, finish off with a fresh Reigns and win. He NEEDS a Flair or Benoit type establishing as the guy type Rumble if they are serious about going with him, and at this point I assume they must by process of elimination on Smackdown (ie, Cena's on RAW, Owens/Zayn going for the title now, Corbin a joke, Orton done it too many times already, AJ the champ, Jinder going for the US title - doesn't leave many options left).

Just anything left field would be nice for a change.

I get the idea to want to see different things, but there are some 'never done before' ideas that get thrown around a lot that aren't done for a reason: they'd f***ing suck. Now this just means that we’ll get it. Along with James Ellsworth winning the women’s Royal Rumble somehow.

Remember when they shook up the main event scene by bringing in Jinder Mahal and pretty much everyone on this board shitted on it? Makes some of the comments here pretty funny.

Because asking for someone talented and underutilized to be given a push is the same as being given a guy who's never shown talent of any aspect of wrestling for 6 months?
