Remember when he wore a top hat like he was Slash? When was this? If I'm remembering right, it wasn't too long before he was gone.

To this day I think that was a rib towards Undertaker, specially when Michelle McCool was his valet.

I truly feel he was hurt by setting expectations too high by claiming that watching him wrestling would be the ride of our lives and truthfully I’ve had better rides including my Geo Metro that looked like monkey poop but drove like a dream that car was better than Chuck Palumbo.

I thought it was a good run. He was having decent enough matches, biker gimmicks are always cool and seemed over enough with the fans. Once he turned heel after the Noble feud, WWE seemed to lose interest/had no idea what to do with him. It's a shame. He'd have been a solid hand filling the numbers in the US Title division. Matches vs MVP, Matt Hardy, Finlay etc who were all at that level on the card at the time would have been fun. IIRC Chuck has since admitted he lost interest in wrestling as a full-time career around this time, which evidently didn't help matters.

I went to a RAW taping and the bike was over. Chucky was not.

I dunnoo. the gimmick was sorta plug-n-play, in that you could've gotten any of the average midcarder guys to do it and the results would've been the same. man, WWE's talent pool was shallow when Johnny Ace was in charge.

The issue was it being a character. The moveset they had him doing wasn't natural for him - look at how he moves in 2008 Rumble, he seems to be doing steps rather than just... being.

I missed the custom chucky era of RAW/Heat in 2004. Custom Chucky P with the Chuck Taylor shoes? There was a guy who I went to high school with who I saw at a Raw show. The dude was a huge CCP mark for some reason and actually got a gimmick started during the match that caused pretty much everyone in that section to cheer for CCP. It was f***ing hilarious. The guy actually tried his hand at wrestling later, although he should've tried at WWE creative instead.
