Pretty excited for this, Kawato has been ready. Can't wait to see him tear it up in CMLL.

I LOVE this practice of excursions. The last week, I've learned more about how the Young Lions class works than I did in almost a decade of me being aware of puroresu. The head shaving, how they gain their equipment piece by piece, the seven Proving matches, the excursions...it's absolutely fascinating, and probably a better system than a typical wrestling school operates. As a wrestling fan of more then 3 decades I just watched japanese wrestling in passing when something was of interest...Link me to the information regarding the young lions...That culture is fascinating

Looks like I will have to watch some CMLL on YouTube. I was hoping he would go to ROH for selfish reasons, but Mexico is a good fit for him. I have a feeling he is going to come back even more angry. CMLL has a partnership with ROH as well NJPW so there might be a chance he gets some work in ROH as well. Yeah, I am sure he will occasionally show up in ROH, probably RevPro and other English promotions as well. He probably won't spend his entire excursion in Mexico either.

Even though he is still incredibly young, in-ring wise he's ready, and has been for a few months now.
I've said it once and I stand by it- in ten years time we'll be regarding Hirai Kawato as one of the best in the world.
