I am going to WrestleMania this year and contemplating getting there until just before the Kick Off show is over.
I went for WM 30, and one thing you may not realize if you have never attended WM live is that takes SO DAMN long to get into the stadium. That's why you see matches like Kaltiso vs. Ryback in front of half empty crowd because the lines bottleneck when you try to let thousands in people in at once. I think I saw where now WWE is even offering property entrance for a fee, that way you are sure to watch all of the preshow.
But when you consider the main show has expanded to 5 hours and the preshow is 2 hours, you may have to be at the arena up to two hours in advance to ensure you see it all. Still, that's way too long to be in any arena, even if it's WrestleMania. Plus seven hours is a long time to go without eating, which means you are more reliant on stadium concessions.
My best course of action is to skip the preliminaries and pregame at the local bar and grill. I am not sure the Kick Off is even worth the hassle. What do you think?

I'd be trying to be there for the pre-show personally, but I'm also the sorta dude who shows up at UFC in time for the start of the pre-lims and those shows usually run about 7 hours.

Depends if you like whoever is in the pre show matches I guess.

Comes down to if you want to, I guess. Last year the pre-show had Neville/Aries and that was a better match than most of the main card.

I'm also going to Mania this year and depending on the line-up, I won't go to the pre-show. I like wrestling, but damn 6 hours is draining and I’m not into the current product that much id be willing to come in for a 205 live match or something. I did the same thing at last year’s Royal Rumble and didn’t feel like I missed out on much.

I didn't even consider skipping the preshow personally. Got into my seat probably about 20 minutes before Aries / Neville and didn't regret it a bit.

i would just because you'd never know what match they decide to thrown on there. Like I didn't expect Ambrose to be thrown on there last year.

Buying a ticket and getting there on time isn't enough? You need to pay more to make sure you can actually get in to see the PRE-SHOW?

You pay that much and travel that far for the only event of its kind: it had BETTER last seven hours. Heck, for me, “Wrestlemania” in a way more general sense lasts three 12-16 hour days and that 7-hour show day. And it’s still not tiring to an annoying or inconvenienced level. I don’t get it.
Inconvenience is Dallas, where they don’t think you need to see but three or four hours of it at most because they won’t let you in. Let us freaking in the stadium!

If I was paying that much for a ticket to an event, I would milk every last minute of entertainment out of it. Paying for concession food is a given for an event like this, Ante up, hombre.

I am still pissed off at how they treated us at JerryWorld. Because of that I'd say get there early and be sure the stadium crew has a freakin' clue what is happening so you make it by the opening of the "proper" show. Any crew has to be better than the idiots in Arlington though.

Guess I'm lucky that in Orlando it was fairly clean and easy getting in and out, certainly a long wait but I wasn't in line for two hours or anything.

For the amount it costs to attend a Mania, I’d say why not?

Man, I went for the whole damn thing last year, and I was REALLY ready to leave by the time of the main event. It is a long day if you get there for the kickoff. I am going to Mania this year again and probably won’t go in as early.
