Anyone play these? I though they were great games and hidden gems buried under the likes of Mario, Crash, sonic and such. I remember liking part 2 the best. Great soundtrack, great graphics, great level design and the humor was great to.
I remember liking the tv show as well.

Loved those games. Wish they would get a remaster. It was different platforming fun. Just odd and out there.

I remember two things in particular, how hard they were, and the "well done" cow.

I never really got into the EW Jim games, but they weren't really that "hidden" back when they first came out. They were on tons of gaming magazine covers and seemed to win a few awards back then. It was pretty much a dead heat between DKC and Earthworm Jim at the time.

Glad you mentioned the soundtracks though, I think Earthworm Jim 2 might be the best soundtrack of its era.

It had lots of coverage at the time... and it had the full media blitz of television show, action figures, comic books and all that jazz...

I started playing Earthworm Jim around the same time I discovered Monty Python. Combined with my entire family's love of Mel Brooks movies, it's easy to see where I get my love of absurdist humor.

It was pretty much a dead heat between DKC and Earthworm Jim at the time. Seemed like back that everyone I knew that had a Genesis owned the same 4 games. Altered Beast-Was the pack in for years so makes sense. Sonic-The pack in that replaced Altered Beast. Madden-Usually the first or second one. Earthworm Jim-Usually the first game. Years later ,late 90s,I found a bunch of the EWJ action figures cheap at BigLots.

#1 I remember being pretty difficult--especially this water level where you had to maneuver this underwater vehicle with a tight time limit. Fun game though. 2 was also good but they toned down the difficulty quite a bit.

f*** those Puppy Love levels I HATED that level. The pillow game was fine, but whipping that dog took some time to master and I never really got good at it. The Psycrow ones were bad, too.
GROOVY!
