To have a proper run in the WWE?
Also how would you have booked him?

He would have been perfect as Punk’s right hand man in the Straight Edge Society who could have been working to eventually seize control of the group from Punk & launching the two of them into a hard hitting, unrepentant feud.
He’s still ridiculously talented, but his time for WWE is probably behind us.

Now would be the only time that he would have any kind of good run in WWE.

Honestly I think the current WWE is where he would have his best run. The man is still in ridiculously great shape, can go with the best of them and his BFF AJ is their top guy.
Imagine Daniels being given a somewhat free hand to do as he pleased on 205.

April 2009. In TNA, they’d had him under a hood for a year, first as Curry Man (which was cool) then as Suicide (which was Suicide). He made his comeback as Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels against Kurt Angle, to a massive pop and “Welcome back!” chants. Within months, TNA had TNA’d it by re-branding him as just “Daniels” and working a god awful programme with an out-of-shape, t-shirt-and-tanlines Shane Douglas to the delight of nobody.
What if, instead... Wrestlemania XXV, Rey Mysterio wins the IC belt from JBL in twenty one seconds or whatever, then, next night on Raw, Rey is all cheery and happy and cutting a tryhard face promo and Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels interrupts? How cool could that feud have been?
Fallen Angel vs Still-Mobile Rey or “Daniels” vs Elderly Shane Douglas?

For some reason, I do not remember Daniels/Franchise at all, but TNA had a habit of doing that to Daniels again and again. Less than a year afterward, it was a godawful feud with a fat Sean Morley. I'd take him and Rey over both those.

I'd still love to see appletini sipping Daniels as someone's manager.

I'd still love to see appletini sipping Daniels as someone's manager. With his scarf, of course.

I was convinced he was going to be Mordecai. Then, it ended up being Kevin Thorne.
Imagine my disappointment.

Honestly I wasn’t completely sold on him as a character until the tag titles promo in 2016. BUT that was one of the best things ive ever seen in pro wrestling, and it’s not even a year and a half old. For a guy this deep into his career to be this good, WWE should still absolutely sign.

Wow. Just wow. If the WWE were to sign, I'd think it would probably as a trainer down in NXT, but in this current landscape, who knows?

Now would be a great time-he could come aboard with AJ to help him with KO/SZ. Something along the lines of AJ needed to enlist a longtime friend in order to defeat two other longtime friends, blah blah blah.
