Missed match opportunity

So I was reading through cagematch, and noticed that Sting and Christian Cage never had a 1-on-1 PPV match. They had two Impact matches that were throwaways, and a couple of multiman matches on PPV, but I was shocked that at no point they did a Cage/Sting main event, which got me thinking.

Were there any other obvious matches they could've built to that just never happened?

They just missed each other but would have loved to see Walking Armageddon Lashley vs AJ Styles in a proper feud

Still no idea how we never got Davey Richards vs Kurt Angle, especially during his retirement dream matches tour, or any of the one night only events.
