I clicked on the link since I had no idea who she was. On the site, I clicked on her name and it brought up her bio. Listed in her bio is here blood type, AB. Why is that shown on her bio? Is that normal for people to care about that in Japan?

He's already getting death threats. Yeah, from everything I've read, stuff like fangirls freaking out over One Direction members dating or whatever has absolutely nothing on the wrath of otaku upon learning that their idols are no longer 'pure'. It's honestly scary stuff sometimes, and entirely not surprised that he's getting death threats. Somehow it would be funnier if it was Suzuki getting them just to see the response. |

Yeah, no culture is without issues, and this may be one of the big ones where it'd be nice to see parts of Japan take a big step forward. There's a lot to love about Japanese culture, and the appreciation for "innocence" can be one of them to a certain degree, but stuff like this clearly highlights the incredibly dark side of such tastes taken way too far, like moments when idols are made to publicly shave their heads for having the audacity to have a boyfriend or something. |

Yeeeeep that's what I was afraid was gonna happen and sounds like pretty much textbook every other time a VA or idol has been forced to apologize for having a social life.
Right down to the burning of merch as if that's gonna make a difference.
...Can we pleeeeeease get Suzuki involved just to scare these Otaku off?

It'd be less "brawling" and more "one-sided bloodshed", like a scene of Dynasty Warriors with one guy battering dozens away at the same time. Also, this should lead to Toru Yano's next DVD, with Yano and Pinkie Pie (fully animated, of course) hosting a variety show. Which leads to a brawl between Suzuki, Yano and a Young Boy wearing a Pinkie Pie suit in the Korakuen crowd. Announcers: "Okiotsukete kudasai! Okiotsukete kudasai!" (in all seriousness, the threats are a real issue, and something does need to be done to help deter this sort of thing in the future.) |
