Would anyone else prefer if instead of Triple H getting any world title reigns in 2006-2010, instead he went to ECW during any of the 4 years of the reboot?
Just imagine if he faced all these guys instead:
CM Punk (2006-2008 version)
Tommy Dreamer
Rob Van Dam (In his territory)
Sabu
Sandman
Kurt Angle
Elijah Burke
Big Daddy V
Mark Henry
Marcus Cor Von
William Regal
Christian
Jack Swagger
Would any of this interest you? It would make it easier for him to transition to the backstage role anyways. While Raw and Smackdown are free of Triple H.

WWECW was my favorite wrestling show during its run
HHH would’ve made it my least favorite, in a related note RAW would be a lot more watchable during those years

This to me, is by far his worst run as a wrestler. Total midlife crisis run where he didn't make anyone look good and he was made to look like a badass. It didn't help he was putting on stinkers for months.
People complain about the Reign of Terror, but at least he was a heel who looked stupid at times. What did he accomplish when he returned from his second quad injury? No one was elevated and everyone was made to not look to be on his level.
The "Ass Kicker" era was Triple H at his absolute worst.

ECW had the benefit of being a Cena-less, Trips-less show. Why would you want to take that from people?

He did wrestle there once. I remember that, him and Shawn made an appearance there during their feud with Big Show/McMahons, and they kept making unfunny "bingo hall" references throughout the show, that was more than enough for me as I hated the DX reboot in 06. |

If Triple H was in ECW during that time period, then CM Punk's beef (along with the sideways negative vibe) with Triple H would have started in 2006 instead of 2011.
