Hey there fellow Canadian FAN members! Like the title of the thread explains, I'd like your help. Let me explain:
I've long been a bit of a Canadophile and have wanted to visit your country. Well, now it's actually happening this June and July(June 3rd to July 3rd to be exact). I'm spending a month touring Ontario and Quebec in a sort of backpacking excursion, I suppose you can call it. Anyways, throughout the month, I'll be going to Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, and finally ending in Toronto before I head back home. Now, I've already have some stuff that are "Must-Dos"; if you will. However, there's tons of other stuff I'd like to check out or experience.
So, this is where your I would like your help. I would really love it if you could perhaps offer things to do or check out in these cities if you could provide insight. Perhaps you can also share some tips for visiting these cities or Canada in general. To give some context, this is what I already have in mind as far as things for me to do:
- Going to the Canadian Grand Prix - Touring Parliament Hill and the Canadian Aviation and Space Museaum - Visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame - Going to a Blue Jays game during Canada Day weekend - Experiencing Canada Day
I should also mention that I'll be traveling from city to city through the VIA and AirBnB-ing throughout my stay.

there's a lot of awesome museums in Ottawa. while you're there, definitely do the Parliament tour. while you're in Toronto, the CN Tower has lots of fun stuff to do. Yonge Street is THE place to go shopping, there's lots of really cool stores and restaurants. if you're in Montreal, you owe it to yourself to check out Old Montreal, and do the same with Quebec City. so much beautiful historical stuff to do there.

Cool! Thanks, dude. I'll definitely check all that out. Speaking of Montreal, do you have any restaurant recommendations? I'll be sure to try Poutine. That's like a 'no doubt about it' thing; but do you have a favorite Poutinery in the city?

But yeah if you get poutine, get it at a local place. The fast food companies never get it right. Montreal's strip clubs are also better... So I've heard.

While in Toronto make sure you get an Uber to take you the entirety of the Northbound Don Valley Parkway at around 4:45pm on a Thursday.

It is customary for visitors to bring gifts. For everyone in Canada.

I was in Montreal in October. Since you're going in the Summer, you won't be able to see a Canadiens game. Which was definitely the highlight of my trip. To me the poutine is over-rated, I could only finish half, then had to take a nap afterword. I recommend Schwartz Deli for smoked meat and Burger Royale, for one of the best burgers you'll have. They're both close together on St. Laurent street.
