I remember Ricochet mainly as a dorky flippy dude in a local indy fed who I quickly forgot about, only to find out years later he's become one of the most highly-praised wrestlers in the business. It's basically the exact same thing that happened to Kenny Omega and it's just as weird. Nonetheless, I wish him well and hope he gets to do some cool stuff in NXT.

It's basically the exact same thing that happened to Kenny Omega and it's just as weird. Nonetheless, I wish him well and hope he gets to do some cool stuff in NXT. He does flippy stuff for sure, but it's his strength that I always found most impressive. The guy is a complete all-rounder. Of course he was in LU, a company with great booking, writing, commentating and camerawork which helped make him a star. Hopefully he can overcome bit having any of that. |

Is Ospreay that disliked around here? His matches with Marty Scurll and Kushida in New Japan have made me a huge fan of his. Plus I saw him get a great match out of Matt Taven live and that's not easy. Seriously, Ospreay vs. KUSHIDA in the Best of the Super Junior final this past year was one of the matches of the year. If someone wants to say that was mostly KUSHIDA's doing, fine, but Will more than played his part. Hell, that highly ranted about GIF was only the start of that match. Afterwards, it turned into Ricochet using his experience against the younger Ospreay. It’s actually really damn good. |

I was at the NXT show in St. Pete last night. Ricochet was there, he was sitting out watching the show like they normally have new recruits doing. I got to I’ve him a pound and tell him good luck and congrats. I think I blew his cover though, after that people realized who it was and he had people coming up the rest of the night.

The fact that they put his real name have me worried he may be subject to the dreaded name generator. "The Ricochet" Trevor Mann sounds cooler than the name generator. |
