I'm a sad person so I have a rough outline of 3 seasons worth of episodes of a remake/reboot reusing old storylines (updated with modern references) but with the show told in a different order.
I noticed a while back that there were a lot of episodes where Kate and the kids had no bearing on the plot at all. This made me envision a scenario where a single and nerdy loser named Willie Tanner who lives with his cat Lucky has an alien crash into the garage of his home. Kate is a woman who works in the same building as Willie who he has a crush on but can never bring himself to talk to. Look at this way. ALF is over 200 years old, he's been around. He would be guiding a younger version of Willie in this version.
Basic storyflow would be: ALF crashes into garage; bunch of plotlines that don't need the family (riding the rails, the roach, Raquel seeing ALF, etc) ALF invites Willie's office to his house for Halloween and sets him up on a date with Kate; by the end of the season she moves in. Season 2 would be ALF having to deal with Kate's strictness. They get married by middle of season 2 (the hiccups happen during Willie and Kate's wedding,) ALF meets Kate's mother, etc. Kate announces she's pregnant by end of season 2. Eventually all the ALF/Brian stuff would be ALF and a young version of Lynn.

Did any of the actors from the show do anything after Alf? I know Max Wright played Norm's boss on The Norm Show, other than that, the rest of the cast (even Alf's VA Paul Fusco) have dropped off the face of the Earth.

Lynn did a few small things then quit acting. Kate pretty much retired. Willie as you said did the Norm Show and also got busted when police raided a crack house.

ALF was my favorite show as a kid. I had the figures and stuffed animal. I have everything on DVD. But I don't think it would work today. And you can't repeat perfection.

Jake was Jesse's cousin from Greece that DJ had a crush on on Full House.

No Alf does not deserve a revival. Has our entertainment industry gotten so bad they can't think of anything original so they just reboot old shows like MacGyver, Full House, Boy Meets World and Family Matters. They've done that since the beginning of TV. Just like ads disguised in shows, it's nothing new. How about we compromise, we get a reboot of 3rd Rock from the Sun where Alf is their pet? I'd rather get a reboot of Alf with the cast of Mad About You first.

He was great in FunnyorDie's "The Art of the Deal" starring Johnny Depp as Donald Trump.

After watching Fuller House where every episode involved 4th wall breaking, meta references, and characters acting like cartoon characters while throwing every bit of nostalgia they could into the show, I’d rather they never reboot anything ever again. The Boy Meets World redux was the same thing.
Just make an original damn sitcom.

sorry off topic... OVO 40 hunched over like he 80 I pm'ed you ages ago to ask the story about the tweets in your sig. Can you please explain them, I've received no reply. As for Enzo, I will wait and see. Too many knee jerk reactions on both sides, we gotta let this play out. The truth will set us free.

Its when tna had a multi taping day and Bob Ryder a tna executive was trying to dispel rumors that the locker room was mad because of the state of the company. Just as he tweeted that James Storm blasted out complaining about that day.

I would be fine with it if they can do it safer this time around. I've always heard that the set was kind of a death trap to accommodate having the Alf puppet get around as realistically as possible. They do genuinely do a pretty good job of having him seem organic, but it's still not worth the peril. As for the issue of reboots and remakes in general, eh. They've been doing it for years. They've brought the Addams Family and Munsters back at least 2-3 times each, haven't they? This isn't new, and given we're getting stuff like The Good Place, I can't lament a lack of original programming, since that's pretty outside the norm. Reboot it to be as awkward and creepy as this and you're on. I've never been clear on if this is Andrew Hussie as in the Homestuck guy, or someone else.
