As with Ricochet, I'm going to miss watching these guys work; they're the real deal and one of the best tag acts going right now. Hope they make a ton of cash and do great.

Hopefully they don’t squander Hanson. He’s something different which is tough to come by in today’s wrestling scene which is becoming increasingly homogeneous.

I like that so many big guys are happy they signed just so they can fight them

I remember, back in the day, when Vince was trying to sign the Road Warriors. That didn't work, so he created Demolition. Then the Powers Of Pain became available and he marketed them just like the Road Warriors. By the time The Road Warriors DID sign, Warlord and Barbarian were already split up. But LOD spent the first few months absolutely obliterating Demolition. I think AOP are safe, due to their lineage and the fact they have Paul Ellering. However, I think Heavy Machinery are about to be destroyed and repackaged, if not released. I can't see Heavy Machinery being affected by this. If any team should be feeling the heat because of this I think it would be Harper and Rowan. That BB gimmick seen like it was designed for War Machine. Also, given the lack of crowd reactions the Bludgeon Brothers have gotten (which isn't surprising given how they vanished for months & were 300 pound losers beforehand who only won against each other in a feud with no conclusion), I think they could get this push cancelled & they become jobbers with a fancy entrance.

They will never be allowed to do their high flying stuff that makes them stand out as big men in the WWE. The agents won´t see any psychology in it (dumb).

Killian reading all of our minds there. The inevitable hoss battle will be fantastic. I prefer to think this has a sexual connotation attached to it.

I've said before, I'm really glad that wrestling's in a place where traveling tag teams can exist again. There's a good chance that War Machine can be an all time great tag team.

I know they're unrelated and it's completely not their fault, but I wish they called themselves something other than War Machine. Every time I see it, I think of that MMA douchebag who tried to beat his girlfriend to death.

Happy about this for a few reasons:
1) They've both overcome a lot. Their episodes of Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana are really touching, and you can tell both of these guys started beneath-the-bottom and had set-back after set-back, then they embraced who they were and ran with it. Really inspiring stuff.
2) Perfect time to change Hanson's name. I've always enjoyed his work, and while it may seem small, his name has always bothered and puzzled me. He's one of wrestling's few un-Googleable names as, even four years after major pushes in two of the world's top promotions, he isn't doesn't appear once in the first five pages of Google results for "Hanson," that includes the band, the beer, several law offices and construction companies, and even multiple different professional athletes.
3) These are two guys who even after a tag run could both have great singles careers. They have great chemistry together, but in singles have a different enough style to warrant compelling viewing. Hanson, understandable, gets the most attention because nobody with his size and his look does the flying or agile things he does, including perhaps the most menacing the bronco buster has ever looked. Rowe has a Johnny Valentine-level of making the methodical destruction of an opponent exciting, blending power and technique in a way that just screams big moment and could be the perfect psychological dance partner for so many on the roster.
Both guys have said for years their goal was Japan and that they didn't see WWE in the cards, so this signing is absolutely tremendous.

Not following the Indies, I was like "War Machine? Didn't that guy get arrested for beating up a porn star? How'd they let him in?" Then I was like "there's a team called War Machine? Didn't that MMA douchebag legally change his name to that to prevent wrestlers (Rhino) from using it?"

War Machine is pretty amazing, I think they are going to be great in NXT. Especially with the other big teams there right now. Kind of interesting how the NXT tag division went from smaller guys that were great workers, to big teams that are wrecking machines. This almost makes me want to resubscribe just to see it.

Their episodes of Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana are really touching, and you can tell both of these guys started beneath-the-bottom and had set-back after set-back, then they embraced who they were and ran with it. Really inspiring stuff. Agreed. I still have no idea how Rowe survived that motorcycle accident, let alone consistently work at the level he does. That's the kind of thing Vince loves. I've said this before, and I'll say it again. How to kill War Machine in one intro: "Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts and Cleveland, Ohio, respectively: Todd and Ray, Perpetual Violence Wagon!" As I mentioned in the last thread, I've been following Rowe's career for a decade now. Quick story: On the last show of 2007, Sandman became the champ of the local Pittsburgh indie. This drove up attendance, as every lapsed ECW fan in the tri-state area came out to see/drink with him. They also had a nasty habit of shitting on anyone who wasn't connected to ECW. (These dumbasses booed an in his prime Larry Sweeney out of the building.) By the time Ray Rowe came out, the Sandman crowd was drunk and extremely rowdy. Quite a feat, as the venue didn't serve alcohol. They called him every name under the sun, most of which can't be posted here. Then this happened: 1. He no-sold a chair shot to the lower back. "That's cool, I guess," I heard the person sitting behind me say. 2. He no-sold a chair shot to the upper back. "Shit!" the guy yelled. "How did he not move?" 3. He not only no-sold a chair shot to the top of his head - this is February 2008, remember - he didn't move a muscle. "f***! Dude! Who the hell is this guy?! This is unreal! Do you realize what Paul could have done with him? f***!" Rowe did the impossible that night: He single handedly and permanently won over a crowd of belligerent ECW fans. They didn't heckle for the rest of the night.
