We're still at Center Stage in Atlanta, as we're on the road to Takeover in Philadelphia in just 10 days time...
*Heavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight) vs. Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli
*Aliyah vs. Lacey Evans
*Fabian Aichner vs. Roderick Strong
*NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER ONE CONTENDERSHIP MATCH: Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) (w/Paul Ellering) vs. Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford)
The main event will determine who faces the Undisputed ERA for the NXT Tag Team Championship in Philly, as the undefeated Street Profits go up against former champions The Authors of Pain. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have conquered all before them with flash and style, but they've not run into anyone like Akam and Rezar before. Regardless of the outcome, it's going to be a long night for Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly on January 27th...
Fabian Aichner scored the biggest win of his career at the tail end of last year when he defeated Johnny Gargano - the man who's now in the hot seat to go for NXT's biggest prize. The huge Italian looks to continue his momentum when he takes on Roderick Strong this week, with the Messiah of the Backbreaker looking to rebound after falling afoul of Lars Sullivan. Will Aichner add Strong to his scalps?
In other action this week, Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli look to get some revenge on Heavy Machinery after Otis Dozovic tried to lift up their Maserati a few weeks ago, and in Women's Division action, America's Sweetheart Lacey Evans goes up against Aliyah, who's looking to get back on track after a so-so 2017. Also, how will Aleister Black seek vengeance ahead of his Extreme Rules Match with Adam Cole, and will Johnny Gargano handle the pressure not only from NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas, but also from the Velveteen Dream?
All this and much more tonight from 8/7c on the WWE Network!

Here are the facts for NXT:
- Heavy Machinery VS Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli was everyone’s 1st match & opener of 2018, was Otis Dozovic & Tucker Knight’s 1st NXT match since November 8, 2017, & Moss & Sabbatelli’s 1st NXT match since November 29, 2017
- Roderick Strong VS Fabian Aichner was Strong’s 2nd week in a row on NXT & Aichner’s 1st match of 2018
- Aliyah VS Lacey Evans was both wrestlers’ 1st NXT match of 2018 & their 1st match overall since October 25, 2017

I guess they turned Lacey heel to balance out the division more? Because turning a Marine Mother into a Heel is kind of head scratching to me, I guess we'll see how it goes.

The only other prominent active female heels are Baszler and The Iconic Duo (Vega as well, but she’s a non-wrestler at the moment), with the next ones down from there being your fringe TV/Florida loop types like Belair, Conti and Borne. |

Yeah, it’s almost definitely a balance thing. The only other prominent active female heels are Baszler and The Iconic Duo (Vega as well, but she’s a non-wrestler at the moment), with the next ones down from there being your fringe TV/Florida loop types like Belair, Conti and Borne. I guess they pulled back on Conti who looked like she was going to be part of Undisputed as well. That was established from the jump as a one-time deal for TUE to get at Nikki Cross, if you watched the backstage segment that followed. |

It's just as thin on the Face side with only Ember Moon, Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross, with their only other fringe tv/Florida loop person being Dakota Kai. Then there's Aliyah, who's NXT's "Alicia Fox" in that she see-saws randomly as Face/Heel every other month. |

I noticed that Ford had a kiss mark on his jacket similar to what his fiancee wears on her ring gear, so Belair might be paired up with the Street Profits soon. Gargano had a great fiery face promo. Looking forward to his rematch with Almas at the next Takeover even more now. |

I can't imagine how WWE is going to screw up Aleister Black on the big shows but you know it's going to happen.
Is Tino Sabatelli the most awkward 'talented athlete' in years? He makes Moss look smooth and gifted.
