Will Debra crash the wedding? Tony Schiavone: I wish Rey Mysterio and Alex Wright would crash me...

So what's the deal with 'Roll Tide'? I know it's got something to do with the university, but is it true that EVERYONE in that state says it in response to good news, regardless of whether it has to do with sports?
I just find that to be extremely odd. I couldn't imagine people in Texas saying, "Hook 'em!" whenever good news was presented to them.

Would only hear Roll Tide if Bama had a game happening.

Let's hope Conrad's bachelor party is better than Jim Cornette's.

I have never lived in Alabama but in my expanded circle of friends do have several friends that did. Roll Tide is just an expression for them. Its like most Americans saying "Cool" or an English person saying "Cheers".

It also might be a north AL thing. I rarely went to AL and wasn't on the coast.

It’s no coincidence “Roll Tide” has made it to the masses because of the podcast and now people eat Tide pods for fun.

I seem to remember someone on here saying that as a child in Alabama, the preacher in his church would end prayers not with "amen" but "Roll Tide."
I imagine it becomes more prevalent the closer you get to Tuscaloosa.

Conrad says things like “How roll tide is Trish Stratus looking right here?” So it could mean hot or great too.
