And man I liked it a lot better this time around. When I first read it I was 15 or 16, but now at 25, and going through some similar experiences, this book really hit close to home. Eddie was one of my favorite wrestlers when I first started watching and it broke me when he passed. Reading the book was kind of creepy in some ways though. The amount of near overdoses/deaths he has had, him talking about wrestlers dying young when that would be his fate, Mando saying that he was afraid Eddie would end up dead in a hotel room, that all got to me. Him talking about how good of a friend Benoit was also just made me depressed about the whole murder suicide thing. Having friends that are addicts and being somewhat of an addict myself I saw exactly what Eddie was going through. He also seemed very humble and greatful of the opportunities he was given. It’s unfortunate that he died young as he got his shit together, but I’m glad he was able to win the wwe championship and live out his dream before he passed. RIP Latino Heat
