Does this film still hold up? I'd say it does for the most part, still pretty funny IMO, and I would love to see an actual "Scorcher" film.

Tropic Thunder is a classic, IMO.

Yes yes it does.
Tom Cruise as the agent is absoloutley amazing and everything about it is ridiculously quotable.

Oh yes it still holds up. Every performance is still bang on. Who doesn't like Kirk Lazarus?

I haven't watched this since seeing it in theaters when it came out, but the ending/credits bit was gold.

Personally I found Tropic Thunder to be very ambitious, fairly quotable, star-studded for a comedy... but ultimately it was okay.

I love it, Robert Downey Jr was awesome.
I loved the fake trailers/Ad at the start,
Also I recommend the Faux Documentary "Rain Of Madness" which is a parody of "Hearts Of Darkness"

It's still funny, though I thought it was a bit overrated even when it came out. Decent flick though.

Still holds up, IMO. I'm not a big Ben Stiller fan, but I thought he killed it in this.

The Audio commentary with RDJ in character is hilarious. He keeps it up right to the very end.

I'm sort of indifferent to it. Not bad, not great. I absolutely love the fake trailers at the beginning though.

Downey and Cruise are amazing, but that's really about the end of the appeal for me.

Its a great satire of Hollywood. Kirk and Tugg are so out of touch with reality its hilarious to watch. Jeff's heroin relapse is hard to watch in hindsight, but I get what they were going for (Chris Farley). Holds up well and points out a lot of flaws with Hollywood and the way they do things.

I thought it was a fun movie, but not one I think I'll rewatch.
I watched it for the first time last year actually, I was always put off watching it because Jack Black and Ben Stiller annoy me.

I thought it was terrible. The group I was with put it on. By the end I was actively irritated by it.

I will always remember going to see it in theatres the night it came out and the Scorcher trailer came on. The guys behind me said, “That doesn’t look very good,” not aware it was a fake trailer. I got a good laugh out of that lol.

I give it a yearly watch and still quote it with my friends especially when we play Overwatch ".... I'm talking SCORCHED EARTH MOTHERf***ER"

RDJ schooling Stiller on the hazards of going "full retard" is hilarious. As un-PC as it is.

It has held up in that it does not feel like a 10 year old movie.
It also benefits from, frankly, being less tedious than a lot of modern comedies, which think editing is a mad man's dream and have bloated runtimes. An hour and forty seven minutes is downright breezy compared to some of them, and things actually happen in it!

It's been awhile since I've seen it, but I get the sense I'd still greatly enjoy it. Helps I've seen it a few times anyway.
