I'm watching the latest episode of NXT and they had the little spot where they promote the theme of the upcoming ppv.
Takeover's theme is by Asking Alexandria... a band has said he enjoys.
Why haven't WWE gotten them to write a theme Seth? Or any other band in the style Seth likes. It would fit him a lot better and he'd probably feel a tad more pumped up with a song like that.
You know...instead of using that horribly generic 20 second loop with random silent pauses.
(Ambrose is another one)
It doesn't have to be a licsenced song either. Just have it made in house, in the style of whatever Seth wants.

They’re also a much better band than AA, so.... Oh yeaah, I forgot about that lol. That would be pretty awesome, if Rollins gets to use a KE song. I like the group. Not one of my all time top 5 favourites, but I enjoy what I've heard. And hey...I never said Alexandria were *good*, I just said Seth likes them and WWE have worked with them before.  (Although, Roddy Strong is using an instrumental copy of End of Heartache by Killswich...) |

Not to mention, when you get a real band to write a theme, eventually royalty issues and all eventually crop up. I wouldnt be surprised if eventually all CM Punk matches on the network replace Cult of Personality with a "generic" song.

Because most bands aren't going to want to do work-for-hire theme tune stuff, and it opens up a lot of issues, especially when WWE already has their own in-house music people making theme songs with people who aren't in as good a position to fight the idea of giving up control of their work and everything to WWE.

Also an outside band but WWE published in that case so doesn't have the same hangups. |
