I do somewhat mis his old SOS theme.
Always liked Kofi, been frustrated with how he has been booked at times but I could say the same for many other stars.
I would love to see him as WWE champion even if briefly before he calls it a day.

A Decade of Jamaican Us Crazy.
Real credit to Kofi for the run. He was always a good hand, and New Day totally revitalised his career.

The very concept of a thank-you title run is ludicrous. Less so with two world titles but it shows you how diluted a concept they are now too. Okay but what about a run with a guy who is easily one of the most over acts of the company, a massive merch mover, and absolutely adored wrestler? A thank-you run doesn't have to be a bad thing if it's executed properly, and the ascent of a guy who's never been good enough to break through the glass ceiling finally having that major push is one of the most basic feel-good wrestling stories there is. I'm completely with you on all of that, but I don't think any of it describes a thank-you title reign. Any one of New Day could reasonably be pushed to the title, and I am all in favour of getting over new stars. But you just listed a bunch of reasons why any of them, particularly Kofi, would be a great choice. Wrestling isn't really about paying your dues no matter how much people like JBL moan about it. It's about getting over. If a guy was a solid midcarder for me for ten years, I wouldn't throw him the strap just because he was around a lot. I also wouldn't pass on someone like Austin, Rock, Hogan or Cena because they've not sweated it out in the midcard for long enough first.

I mean on the subject of Thank you Title runs....
If we got a "no thank you" title run from Jinder, I'm sure we can get a "thank you" title run from Kofi.
Wanna break up New Day, have Kofi win it all, then slowly Big E gets jealous and turns on him, match at Summerslam.
Plus I think an African American (BABYFACE) champion is LONG overdue.

In an ideal world I'd agree with you, but WWE is not a meritocracy. If it were, a guy like Kofi might not have spent a decade floating around the midcard. The company is almost aggressively against the idea of giving someone the title because they're over rather than because the office decided they should have one. For a guy like Kofi, a token "here have a go" title run is the only main event the guy is ever going to get. People don't hold out for thank you runs because they like to see everyone get a turn, but because for a lot of talents it's the only time they ever really get there, because Vince by and large makes up his mind about you and you're stuck there for life.

Its amazing that he hasn't won a World title yet. What doesn't he have Vince? Botched way too often for his own good, though I still maintain Orton screwed his main event push over.

Kofi has always been one of my favorite wrestlers since he debuted, but he's also just a fantastic guy. I took my little sister to a Smackdown once and we happened to be backstage before the show. Kofi ran into us on his way to get ready for the intro and high-fived me, gave a shout out to the New Day shirt I was wearing, and smiled at us before he ran to the curtain to start the show.
It made both my night and my little sister's (she was 5 years old when he started wrestling, so she grew up loving his silly Jamaican character). I'll never forget that small, but sweet interaction from him. He's a class act and I hope he does get the world title someday. He's done everything the company could want. He deserves it.

It's amazing how he still goes. Undertaker, Bob Holly etc were injured and pretty beat up by the 10 year mark.

Other than two months in 2013 for his elbow and a couple of months last year for his ankle, dude’s gone non-stop pretty much since 2008.

And just for the hell of it, from WWE's YouTube, here's Kofi's on-screen debut match:

Been a big Kofi fan ever since his debut. I'm so happy for all of the success he's had with The New Day. I really want him to get a world title run before he hangs it up.

A guy that could find a spot for on any roster in any era. He may never get a main event run but kinda like Mr Perfect, he's solidified even without it. How great would it be to see his name on a list of WWE champions though? And on a personal level he seems to be one of the most likeable dudes. All power to him and his continued success.
