I’ve been watching old NWA on YouTube and saw James Dillon managing Nature Boy Buddy Landell.
How did he transition from Landell to the Horsemen?
What happened to Landell suddenly he was gone then one day he was back with Superstar Bill Dundee.
Was there a battle of The Nature Boys?
Also what was Baby Dolls story? Did she start with Tully transition to Dusty then goto Flair? Think she had a mid-carder i there somewhere.

Landell did challenge Ric Flair for the NWA title a few times in the spring of 85, they did a Dusty finish where he pinned Flair after a ref bump but they reversed the decision.
As for Landell leaving after Starrcade 85, that may have been around the time had drug problems and was let go from Crockett, by the time he came back later in 1986 he had lost all momentum and didn't do much in the territory.
Baby Doll was also with the Midnight Express in late 86, managing them after Cornette blew his knee out after the Starrcade skywalker match, then she reemerged with Larry Zbyszko in 88.

Dillon transitioned from Landel to pre-Horsemen Tully as manager, so when Tully and the others started doing promos together and working together, Dillon was just along for the ride until it all became an official team/stable.
Baby Doll was brought in from World Class and was introduced as Tully's new manager (all this was before the above paragraph). There was an angle where Dusty "won" her for a month that's about where Tully started using Dillon as his manager; when BD came back, Tully fired her and she turned face. After the Horsemen were up and running, BD turned heel on Dusty and joined up with Flair.
