The WWE clearly just booked people to book people and didn't really put much thought into anything. Some of the old special raws were at least fun. This was boring.
Part of me feels like WWE booked all these people and then when they got to the venues the office only then found out that most of the people are not medically cleared to wrestle.

I mentioned this in the Raw thread, but I'm pretty much the definition of a casual fan. Don't watch any of the shows, just know what's going on (for the most part) based on this forum and YT videos. This show was absolute garbage. I don't see how anyone, even for nostalgia purposes, could get any enjoyment out of this show aside from the Stunners to Vince and Shane (Vince selling a Stunner for 10 minutes like he got run over by a car still amuses me).
The WWE is a weekly variety show. I hate that format and obviously the show is not written for people like me, so I get it, but they should have stepped their game up here. They had to know that more people than normal will watch this and it was their chance to hook them. This won't help. At all.

Opening segment reminded me why I love wrestling.
Rest of the show reminded me why I haven't watched Raw regularly in years.

For what it was hyped up to be, for how monumental the milestone was, this show was complete trash. It once again displays how cold and lifeless the product has been. They cannot catch fire on anything because everything feels stale and uninteresting, now that spreads to nostalgia acts who were used with the bare minimum amount of creativity applied. This show, I imagine, caught the attention of lapsed fans and casuals, I doubt they stick around next week.
