There was a WCW reunion show in like 2006 or so called 6:05 The Reunion and it sucked ass.

At this stage, I kinda feel like any such reunion would just be a drawn out cut to Sting enjoying a hot dog before he takes a sledgehammer to the back of the head. Meanwhile, back at the arena, Cole laughs it off and tells Booker that exact lack of preparation is why WCW lost the war.

I'm having a hard time thinking of who could do anything worthwhile. Nash, Hall, Goldberg, Sting, Hogan, Luger, Flair, Tully, Windham, Arn, Cactus and I don't know how many others aren't wrestling or taking bumps. They aren't going to bring Scott Steiner back, so assume Rick wouldn't either. Vader and Sid you could get in the ring but with Vader's heart problem they wouldn't risk it. Pillman, Benoit and Guerrero are dead. Vampiro's in Lucha Underground.
While typing that out though I realized you could get La Parka, Juventued Guerrera, Super Calo, Ciclope, Jushin Liger and Silver King back. Bring Bull Nakano, Cutie Suzuki, Akira Hokuto and Mayumi Ozaki out of retirement and add ICP on commentary with Oklahoma, Buzzkill and Mark Madden and you have the only episode of RAW i've wanted to watch in a long time.

I think the time frame has passed for a show which is specifically marketed as a WCW Reunion show ala ECW One Night Stand. But what WWE could do (they won't) is put on some shows which carry the spirit of WCW. Halloween Havok with cheesey and silly spooktacular matches (Bray would be in his glory). Bash at the Beach with the pool and the college kids. Road Wild with the Bikers. All that cool unusual kinds of shows. Do some WCW style commercials with footage of fan parties. Even go as far as getting some women together in a parody troupe of the Nitro Girls that everyone knows is supposed to be a Nitro Girls tribute even if they aren't referred to out loud. WCW was a different kind of company than WWE. WCW was more blue collar. More honest. More respect for the fans. More... fun. Takeover undergoes a name change. Money in the Bank - NXT Great American Bash SummerSlam - NXT Takeover Survivor Series - NXT Fall Brawl Royal Rumble - NXT SuperBrawl WrestleMania - NXT Starrcade Halloween Havoc would only occur on TV days which fall on that calendar date. For NXT, it’d be a 2 hour extended episode.

Nope, it would just end with Eric Bischoff eating a bunch of finishers like he did at the end of the first ECW One Night Stand in 2005.

The big names are too old, most them were too old in 2000

They don't even have to use the same concepts. How about NXT invades Comic Con? Set up the ring and do a whole show centered around the convention, showing the wrestlers arriving, mingling with fans and geek subjects. Do a gimmick match. Get TV stars involved. Just... get into it. Get relevant. Get cool. NXT is WWE's College, right? They have done shows at concerts and festivals before. Why don't they make this an episode proper?

At this stage nostalgia for WCW has only limited appeal-the youngsters in the audience were born either right as WCW went down or right after. And as pointed out by prior commentators, the stars most heavily associated with WCW are not capable of performing in the ring in much capacity anymore. That said, the Starrcade event they staged last year was by all account a success as a sort of WCW tribute show-and I could see them making that an annual thing and maybe even making it a Network special. Yes, feature appearances by old timers who are left like Flair and Sting, as well as those no longer actively performing like DDP. But any actual matches are still active/current stars, but with some little nods and winks to refer to WCW thrown in, such as when Dustin Rhodes paid tribute to his dad by using his old entrance music. And I have long harbored fantas booking images of a WCW gimmick battle royal featuring the likes of Disco Inferno, Alex Wright, La Parka, Normal Smiley, and others. And there will never be a day where I don’t dream of seeing Halloween Havoc revived in some form or another.

All the top guys from WCW are barely mobile. The only match you could even conceivably do that would even feel a bit like a WCW match is Rey vs Jericho, but they had their real feud in WWE anyway. If you want a WCW reunion, go to Wrestlecon or something like that. You will see them all.
