I know it's wwe and it's the house that Vince built. But I wonder if just once they would consider a wcw reunion show. Eric bischoff actually given a chance to speak...put together an nwo reunion with hall, Nash, bischoff, syxx, dibiase, the giant, maybe even Hogan if he is back at some point. Sting, Goldberg, flair, arn, rey mysterio, jericho?
Even go back to some old cheesy characters. Im sure disco inferno is available. Bring in fred ottman as shockmaster? Could be a lot of fun.

They can't even do reunion shows of their own company properly.
So...no.

Who would appear that hasn't already appeared on numerous WWE Legends shows?

Theoretically, yes?
But, logically, no.
WWE spent years building this image of WCW as the bad guys in their story who tried to put them out of business with their success purely happenstance.
Every WCW alumni got broken down into a WWE version because so.
It'd be fun, but they'd play it for goofs about how pathetic WCW was.

I'll give you a glimpse of how WWE's WCW show goes. WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! Oh yeah, and Rick Steiner is here. WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR! WE WON THE WAR!"

Maybe around 2009/2010 they could've still come up with something decent. At this point though, keep WCW reunion shows in the realms of your imagination.
Whatever your mind is booking, I'd guess it's far better than what any reality would be at this stage.

All of their top guys are older than the crypt keeper. I don't need to see that. Sixteen years too late boys.

After tonight I don't think I ever want to see a Nostalgia Show ever again.

Yeah, I’m done with nostalgia shows held by the WWE. Every single guest appearance lasted less than 60 seconds of air time, and each were as pointless as the next. A WCW Reunion would basically be Jericho and Booker dancing around with Lil Naitch. Literally no other WCW vet is active in the ring anymore, nor are they in the kind of shape to do anything outside of a few talkin segments. It’s a fine convention idea, but no wrestling whatsoever.

Nah.
WCW never had the continuing cult following of ECW at the time of that revival.
The majority of people involved have been on WWE television pretty regularly at some point. Or well let's face it are either way too old, injured, or dead to be wrestling.
and well WWE's nostalgia's been pretty shit recently.

I think the time frame has passed for a show which is specifically marketed as a WCW Reunion show ala ECW One Night Stand.
But what WWE could do (they won't) is put on some shows which carry the spirit of WCW. Halloween Havok with cheesey and silly spooktacular matches (Bray would be in his glory). Bash at the Beach with the pool and the college kids. Road Wild with the Bikers. All that cool unusual kinds of shows. Do some WCW style commercials with footage of fan parties. Even go as far as getting some women together in a parody troupe of the Nitro Girls that everyone knows is supposed to be a Nitro Girls tribute even if they aren't referred to out loud.
WCW was a different kind of company than WWE. WCW was more blue collar. More honest. More respect for the fans. More... fun.

By all accounts the Starcade house show was a WCW tribute show in a lot of ways, and that's about as close as it'll get today, for all the reasons mentioned above. And that's how it should be. Use tribute shows to celebrate the sensibilities of the past with the talent of the present.

The time when that could have happened was over a decade ago. Now, they're all too old and broken down. Many of them were quite old by wrestler standards even during their peak in the 90s.
WCW One Night Stand would have been fantastic even as recently as 2007.

At least most of the WCW guys are still alive, even if they're old and some in pretty rough shape - Flair, Sting, Arn, Steamboat, Windham, Luger, Vader, Sid, Booker and Stevie, Regal, Finlay, Meng, Goldberg, DDP, Mysterio, Jericho, Malenko, Raven, Scorpio, Sabu, Zbysko, Austin, Foley, Sullivan, Hugh Morris, Alex Wright, Disco, Saturn, Kidman, Miller pretty much all the japanese guys and mexican guys (save for Eddie) are still around. Never realized that til now.

I LOVE nostalgia, but after last night's show, for me, I'll just stick to watching the old stuff and googling what the performers look like today for my curiosity. We're too far gone for the stars I want to see.
