I don't know why everyone's so worried about his loss to Bray.
I mean I diddnt watch TNA at the time but wasn't the whole point of Broken Matt that he kept losing to Jeff all the time and it pushes him over the edge?

Yeah Broken Matt isn't at all about his wins and losses or even being in the ring to begin with. It's about the pretaped vignettes and shenanigans. Calling him dead in the water for losing a wrestling match is silly IMO. He wasn't some sorta badass in his TNA run of this. |

I don’t have high hopes for any of this. It worked in TNA because TNA needed time to be filled on impact and they just let Matt and Jeff do anything that they wanted. In the WWE Matt will be lucky to get 5 minutes a week and it will be micromanaged by Vince,

I think Matt himself is overestimating how much value his gimmick has to WWE overall especially now that the honeymoon period has worn off with he and Jeffs return.
TNA had nothing going for them and they just lucked out into this gimmick when they needed it and because they had nothing else really except this it was easy for Matt to be able to get the creative freedom.
In the E he might have some input but is absoloutley not getting the creative freedom he had....what will happen IMO is they will get to do something from the compound and Vince will latch onto one aspect he finds stupidly funny and he will run with that one thing and everything Matt does will revolve around that singular thing whether it be a joke or a person.

I don't know why people are worried about Matt fizzling out. Look how many years WWE's had Bray Wyatt doing his routine. Matt's gimmick isn't dying after a few weeks.

It's the NXT Redemption situation; when you're just a step above public access, there's a lot more freedom. There's almost no freedom on WWE TV these days, and that goes double or triple for RAW, the flagship (meaning micromanaged by Vince personally) show. |
