Woken did seem forced to be honest, if they are going Broken and that's why he lost on Raw then I'll give it a chance.
Or, I'm misreading it and we're getting Hardy compound skits, which is even better!

If this means we're finally getting the vignettes at the Hardy house, then let's see what happens. That's the main part that's been missing from this whole thing so far, and arguably the most important because those were what got the whole schtick over.

I think the Woken/Broken Matt stuff is already toast. The entire reason he became Woken was because he lost to Bray Wyatt and snapped. Now he starts doing his spiel again....and immediately jobs. I don't get why WWE feels the need to sometimes protect Bray Wyatt in the booking. The guy is the epitome of an early 80s territory worker that has a shtick that wears out its welcome after 6 months and it is time to move on and do the gimmick elsewhere.

It may not be a certainty, but they do plenty of things off the air that become on-air canon. |

Eh, it went the same way in TNA - he became Broken over Jeff beating him, then he lost to him. That was needed to give reason to escalate the conflict. The bigger issue really was how quickly and decisively Bray beat him. |

Yeah, the detail being left out here is that Jeff beat Matt in a 15 minute Full Metal Mayhem match that was the semi-main of one of TNA's biggest (relatively speaking) shows of the year, giving him plenty to work with in terms of escalating the conflict. In WWE, he loses decisively to Bray Wyatt in a short nothing match that was meant not to overshadow all the nostalgia segments that really mattered. |

This will all go away the moment Jeff gets cleared to return. The gimmick is failing but what's worse is Matt looks slow in the ring, he's a tag team guy at this stage of his career.
