My mom and I are in the waiting room, just... waiting to be allowed to see him. The doctors said he did very well, though. I was a bit nervous, because it's the first time being in a hospital, since my EEG, and also because I'm nervous to see him hooked up to tubes and things like that.
I was thinking of random things to keep me occupied, and now I can't stop laughing. It's so strange. I am trying to be supportive, but it's still scary, and I just want to get out of the hospital.

It's good that you're being there for him. It kills me whenever someone close to me is admitted for anything.

My dad went through the same when I was 20.
Be prepared for him to be super pale, almost grey when you see him. Best of luck to you and yours.

We was very pale, when we got to see him. It wasn't easy to see. And when he was talking to me, it was the same thing, a few times, and I couldn't hear him, which made my mom get annoyed at me. Then, we got home, and the dog had an accident, and ahe yelled that she hated the dog. I get that she's upset, but it isn't an easy time for any of us, right now, and I'm trying to not cry because of how she's handling it.

Best of luck to your dad, the doctors saying it went well sounds positive. It seems like your mother is stressed & upset (understandably, like you said), and taking it out on everyone around her. My sister is the same. I've always found it's just best to stay out of the way if possible; people in that state don't seem to realise they're hurting other people who are struggling to deal with the same thing they are. Hopefully you have a bit of space on your own to digest things.

There is no such thing as minor surgery when it comes to yourself or loved ones. I hope everything comes out good for you.

It was surreal seeing my dad hooked up to the machines after his quadruple bypass. In a bonding moment, I remember translating the feelings he was conveying with his eyes while laying in the bed. Sure he loved us all, but right then I knew he wanted to strangle the nurse who was now 10 minutes late in pulling the tube out of his throat. Best wishes to you, your dad, and your family.

Be strong for him, sending all the best to the whole family. The emoji is from Kairi.
