Did 2.580 million. Given they did their biggest rating in months with the first show of the year and have been steadily falling ever since, I'm guessing how crap the show's been lately is actively turning people away.

Why is there rarely, if ever, any context to these posts?

You mention the steady decline since the first of the year, but you don't mention that drop is a total of 140,000 people from 1/2 to 1/23.

You also fail to mention that the nightly viewership placed Smackdown second on the 2nd, 16th and 23rd and first on the 9th. If Smackdown is "steadily falling" since the first of the year so is everything else on Tuesday nights.
