Kiss will be next, I'm calling it. With how money-hungry they are, I seriously doubt it

Kiss will be next, I'm calling it. Kiss already had a "farewell tour" though.

Kiss will continue after Gene and Paul are both gone-having a band with original members is so passé

Saw them a few years ago at Hammersmith Apollo. Loved it when they bust out Freebird at the end, absolute beast of a live song.

Love Skynyrd, but it's for the best, as they only have one original member left IIRC.

.......seriously, this is the 4th band/singer to announce their retirement this week: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Elton John, Neil Diamond and Slayer. I dare not think of this, but I wonder how much longer Paul and Ringo will be on the road.

Kiss will be next, I'm calling it. Kiss already had a "farewell tour" though. Yeah, in the 90’s. Can’t hold them to things that happened like 25 years ago.

Kiss already had a "farewell tour" though. Yeah, in the 90’s. Can’t hold them to things that happened like 25 years ago. Last I heard, they specifically called it an "Open-Ended Farewell Tour" so they are still, technically, on that same tour... even though there are breaks and different setups. Although, I've always figured their Farewell Tour was just a way to say they want to keep touring, but are done recording as a band. That said, I hope to hit up Skynyrd during this run as they're a band I've always wanted to see, and have had opportunities, but just never followed through with them.

My understanding, as Paul Stanley later put it, was that it was the farewell tour for the original lineup. Which is basically how it played out, so it makes sense.
