In too much pain right now - entertain me, peons!

Without a doubt, right now is one of the worst I've had in a long time since I had been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Around the left hip, maybe pelvis, there's a joint there getting ready to slowly and inevitably fuse with whatever the heck that joint is connected with. Bone spur in the hip socket too, in which the grinding provides its own small circle of hell. Cold weather tonight - when the weather shifts from warm to cold, things can turn out rather badly on the joints, and it just so happens that this particular night it went full force.

Any little movement in the pelvis causes a jolt of pain. It's surprising how many movements count even when I sit down. No escape from it, sitting or lying down a jolt gets sent to the brain, and there are aftershocks on particularly bad twinges on the hip. Got so bad I couldn't reply to parents asking me if I'm all right. Seriously, a scream was stuck in my throat as the pain just kept going and going and going when I tried to take just one step forward.

So yeah. I'm feeling rather miserable. Feel free to try and make me feel better.

And seriously, the pain is freaking serious right now. Three days after returning home from the hospital (due to surgery), hospital stay was about a week... I got my walker and limped out to a neighborhood store to buy cigarettes. Today when I walked the dog it felt far worse - and tonight is far worse than during the day.
