Let him keep it and be undisputed as the best. Beat Honky's record. Have him beat Brock too and defend both belts. Miz needs to be pushed to the moon right now.

He is definitely dropping it before or at Mania and taking some time off once his child is born so I could see him tying Jericho before next Mania for sure.

I hope he holds it until he's set every record he can with it. He's the only guy in ages who's held the title and I'm actually able to remember who the champion is. He is making that belt right now.

What does this even mean? Who's it directed at? Miz? He doesn't seem to be a mark for himself. Fans? Posters? From a fan perspective isn't being a mark about the titles the whole point? If you don't care about the titles or who has them what investment even is there in the product, given it's supposedly SPORTS entertainment? I have never, and will never, understand disdain towards anybody to do with wrestling for being a 'mark', except when it's a wrestler taking themselves too seriously to the detriment of other things. We're all marks. As for Miz, good on him. Give him the records. If he doesn't get another main event title run (which he absolutely should, he's a terrific heel) then he deserves something to distinguish him as more than just another guy. |

I figure he's done a lot more with it than say Brock and the absentee universal title or even Dean Ambrose and the U.S. title that he went months between defending. Heck right now even Alexa Bliss hasn't defended in months. It's no U.S. open challenge but he's also not jobbing left right and centre like so many IC champs in the last decade. He's actually presented as a threat to most guys, even having a win over Reigns. When's the last time an IC champ looked like a threat to anyone unless it was a title match? Personally, I feel that he's been one of the more impressive IC champs of the modern era (though I realize that accolade may not exactly be amazing). That said it's sad if he is happy just sitting on it accruing days. I'd like to see it used meaningfully. |
