I'd be more excited if he actually did things with the belt for once, but congrats are due nonetheless. Yeah, Miz is great but I'm pretty over him as IC champ.

Miz coming out to Muraco's theme is actually really fitting...

Good for Miz.
Now I'm reminiscing all those great moments from his many reigns. Like that time he beat Ziggler, and that other time he... beat Ziggler. Also there was the thing when he, um... held it for a day... Wait he did that twice, right? That's neat, I guess. Well. Cool.
Oh, memories. What would we do without you.

Aside from the time they made him the successor to Flair with the Figure Four, Ive always really liked Miz dating back to his teaming with Morrison. His cashing in on Orton was a true mark out moment for me.
So I really root for the guy, but damned if I don't think his runs with the title are not memorable at all.
Does anyone recall a classic match of his for it or defending it?
And thats not his fault to a degree. The way WWE books the titles has been garbage for going on 20 years now.

This is gonna divide us, but fam I think the time is coming to discuss if Miz is the greatest intercontinental champion of all time.
I think he might get there soon.

8 f***ing times? Yea he’s bound to pass everyone else if he hangs around awhile Not really, Jericho held the belt 9 times and he's only number 15 to total time. Other guys who've had it lots like Kofi, Barrett, Dolph etc are nowhere near the top. I'd actually say it's more of an accomplishment for him to have this kind of longevity now when there's PPVs every month and the booking is more manic rather than in the 70s when if you had a belt, it was almost guaranteed you'd have a really long run.

"Passes Don Muraco" may be the strangest kidney stone euphemism I've ever heard.

Also two of Miz's reigns were under 24 hours, so they barely count for anything.

Muraco is the true A-Lister If I could power up a time machine I'd show you The Miz being brutalized by Magnificent Muraco and Mr. Fuji. They'd whip his ass something fierce, that make Ricky Steamboat's beatings look like a Sunday walk in the park. But I digress, The Miz has been a worthy ambassador to the sport. He's come a long, long way and boy, was I wrong about him. Props and accolades to The Miz on his accomplishments.
